Ended up selling mine quicky even though it looks awesome. The "custom" velcro badge arrived quickly, and I really wished the fit would be better for me. Too much tangle and underwhelming carry performance in my opinion.

My Jones Trouper R got the upper hand in most features.

I have a LL on the way and have had a Trouper R- don't really like the "exposed" stand mechanism, but I agree the features blast the LL out fo the water.

I just wanted one to flex on my boys lol

My biggest and really only issue with the Linkslegend is the weight.  I used mine all summer and walked most of that time, I liked it so much I got one with my other club logo as well when I had the chance.  On my trip to sand valley I packed my old stadry bag, and I was blown away by how light it was.  Tangle in stadry is more an issue than LL, but carrying it is a joke how light it is.  I even tried to switch back to my LL and couldn't even get myself to carry it upstairs to my car before switching back to stadry, it was that noticeable.

Anybody else able to weigh in on carry performance? I walk and carry nearly 100% of my rounds -- love the look of these Linkslegend bags, but coming from a Sun Mountain 2.5+, I realize it'd be a noticeable jump in weight. 

 

I see @asKaasa and @drscott266 mentioning the weight being what drove them away from the Linkslegend. Anybody finding the opposite, and having a good carry experience?

I've never noticed it feeling heavy or draining. I'm a 41-year old dad in decent shape, and tend to be a pack-rat in my bag so I could make it even lighter. That being said, with everything I have in it I've never once picked it during a round wishing I had something lighter.

I carry except for competing rounds, I used to use the titleist carbon bag, or the carry bag, which I still have, the difference in feeling is much like a full bottle of water. It is noticeable though, I’ve occasionally carried for competitive rounds but I wouldn’t with the legend, 14 clubs, rain gear, spare bits and pieces etc etc would be too heavy for me to not feel it badly on closing holes. It is lighter than the premium carry bag I used to have though. . 
 

For normal rounds, I carry 8-10 clubs and it’s fine.

I came from the premium carry bags so the linksmaster feels very light. I even keep the single strap for the Makenzie vibes.

SL2 has a bigger top and less club tangle, Linkslegend has a LOT more pockets/space in the pockets.  A hybrid of the two bags would be awesome because I get way too much tangle on my LL, but the pockets are very limited on the SL2.

Have both and can’t give me SL2 away. Can barely get my hand in the pockets let alone everything else I need in there. Ripped skin and fingernails going in and out. 
 

Stitch look great but hard pass 11 times out of ten for me. Love my linkslegend

100% spot on as I have both.  LL has club tangle and more pocket space.  SL2 pockets are fewer, “stiff”, and borderline unusable.   
The LL, due to functionality of the pockets, has been my gamer for over a year now.

Thank you, this is exactly what I was looking for. Had the LL but the top was way too small for my liking, loved everything else about it though but I returned it. I really don’t care much about pocket space, only carry 3-6 balls, sharpie, about 5 tees, divot tool, and a combo bottle of bug spray sun screen. Almost never play in any type of weather so not worried about size of apparel pocket either.

Yeah, the LL club tangle drives me crazy, but I use it because of the pocket space/layout. I don’t think you’d have a problem fitting what you list into the SL2 pockets.  I have a SL2 that I’ll use when it gets warmer and I won’t have to carry as much stuff.  The SL2 is definitely a lighter bag to carry.

This will work with virtually any bag, and with some not so creative engineering, works for the LinksLegend bags as well.

Keeps the legs from overextending when the legs are out, and snaps them back to the bag when you pick up the strap.
