GREAT question!! Honestly even the TS4 driver to me was miles more forgiving than the old 975 drivers I grew up playing. I guess it’s kinda just what suits your eye.

I’ve been professionally fit twice now - once a couple years back, into the TSi4, and now again today into a TSR4.  I didn’t bite the first time, but might this time.

Marginal improvement from my current big dog - the g430 LST.  The 4 is clearly faster and longer, the ping maybe more forgiving.  Maybe.  The ping was lower spinning by a couple hundred RPM, for me, shaft for shaft, which was surprising.  Too low for my mph these days.

The tsr4 was a little more fade biased.   And a little longer.

Both are great.  5 yards of carry and 10 of total edge to the tsr4.

Season ending in northeast ( for me ). How has everyone made out. I’m still with the tsr4, it’s been mostly awesome this season. Fade biased, perhaps for me a well, but mostly my driver swing/set up. Keeping it in play for now. Still surprised more fitters don’t share it ( especially for those hitting TD or LST ).

Late to this thread, but as a longtime D4 user (TS, TSi and TSr... and the 915d4), I can somewhat speak to why many pros do not use them.  The 4 spins to little for them.  Most of them area already low spin players and when they hit these, they can get into the low 1000s and hit those knuckling-fall-out-of-the-sky shots.  Titleist has said as much, but the online reviewers assume that only pros will gravitate towards these since they are a bit smaller (they missed the point).

I have worked hard in the past few years to change my driver swing for lower spin and have used the 4.  I am going to have to move away from it since I have gotten to where I need to be with the swing and the club does not spin the ball enough.  Took my Garmin on the course and hit a few drives under 1300 RPM anymore and not a single on over 1700.  I am trying out a D2 and the spin has been 2000-2300, so about perfect for me.

I also found the D4 club harder to work left or right - not impossible, just not as much movement.  Not a big deal for nearly all amateurs, but pros aren't going to like this.  I used to focus on hitting higher on the face for lower spin with other heads, but I do not have to do this with the 4.

My only gripe is that I found the head too light and I put a heavier weight and some lead tape on it - easy change.  I played Tensei Orange 1k 70 in mine with equal added head weight under the grip.

All in all, this is a really good club that most folks should at least try.

This is why I lofted up to 10deg.  Been good and I agree, more should at least try it.

This is the only thing since the SLDR that can keep my spin in check only it is unbelievably more forgiven. This driver matched with the Tensei 1k Black shaft is the ultimate driver for me. I haven't swung it since I restarted the stack system so I am interested to take some 120mph + rips vice 110. The ball flight is just so flat but keeps going.

Not a great player 18 hcp but really thinking about testing this out with 1" shorter shaft.   Seems like with the weight on the back it could be forgiving enough.  Currently have TSI2.

I have a titliest fitting in 2 weeks.  Maybe I'm crazy with a 90mph swing speed but i want to try out the TSR4.  My spin and launch are terribly high.  I know ibneed to fix the issue with my swing.  TSR2 9.0 loft goes farther than 10.5.  Titliest says nothing about being a fast swinger in their marketing description, rather if you have a spin over 3000 and want a forgiving face.  Weight in the back of course.   Am I crazy?

I love my TS4, had it cut to play 45.25 in order to get the SW right for the shaft.  Surprisingly one of the straightest drivers I have played in the past 5 years or so.

Traded for this driver in 9.0*.  Bought a Kaili White 60TX untipped and built it to 45".  Coming from Sim, Sim2, back to Sim, now this.  This driver head is legit.  Love everything about it, the adapter sleeve, the shape, the size, the sound & feel.  The ball feels like it just explodes off the face..  I've only played two rounds with it, but I don't think I've ever hit the center of the face more consistently.  Not sure if it's the overall build (shaft, length, D6 SW, adapter setting) but whatever it is it's miles more consistent, forgiving, and LONGER than anything I've ever used.

Picked up a TSR4 9* with a Blue NX Speeder and after 2 range sessions, I'm not feeling it. Mind you, I've been hitting my driver poorly for 5 months so that's surely to blame. But the face doesn't feel as hot as my G400 Max. Taking it out on course tomorrow, going to bump it up to 10.5 and see if I get a better launch.

I just ordered a tsr4 9 degree with a hzrdus black. went to get my 5 wood regripped and hit a few drivers while I was there since my driving has been hit and miss this last year. My miss is a snap hook left and even on what I thought was a bad snap hook swing the ball still stayed within 15 yards of the center line. I usually launch the ball too high and to my surprise with the 8 degree head I was using my launch was around 12 with a peak height around 90 ft. I decided to get the 9 degree head and turn it down to open the face some.

I'm really tempted to try the 4 after reading this thread. My problem is my Ping G410 LS model with Diamana ZF is an absolute fairway finder. I've got the 10.5 delofted to 9.5. Eventually l'll need to replace it, as the distance isn't the greatest. Titleist just dropped prices on their drivers as well, this is tempting.

Try the TSR3 as well.  Coming from a G410LS that is more in line with the spin profile of that head.  TSR3 is the hottest head of the line, if you make consistent contact in center and don't need massive spin reduction, that is generally the best fit

I'm back....  After many consultations, opinions, and shafts...  I just bought back the TSR4 9deg, with the stock 1K black stiff shaft.

I hit that combo last year at a PGASS and it was money, then I got fitted to a different shaft (Ventus VC Blue)_ that worked some times, and didn't others...  Long story, today the club showed up and right to the sim.  Felt like an old glove being put back on.  155-168BS and straight draws or baby fades.  No messing with the weights either, and that was with a V1X so I think spin will come down to 2200's for me.

Models are changing, so there are some great deals out there now.  Get one if you can!
