Someone needs to get this in Shiels’ hands.

Shields technique is what’s wrong, not the club. He needs to stop flipping his right hand and rotate. That’s why he has no strike or yardage consistency. It doesn’t matter what club he uses.

It’s more that I want to see his review video of it than I think it will help.

While I don't use a 64*, I do use a 62* and its a complete weapon.  I use the 62* as it fits my 4* gappings on my wedges.  Anyone that says they can do whatever I do with a 62* wedge with their 58* wedge is just kidding themselves.  My chipping is my strength and I could manage with 2 wedges, but rather than having a bunch of long irons and hybrids I never hit, I'd rather have the options at the short end of my bag.

But with all that said, you gotta practice with it and learn how to use the high lofted wedges.  When I first bagged it, I dumped it right in front of me a couple of times for sure, now I feel comfortable with it from 2 yards or 70 yards.

Rather than start a new thread I am bumping this old one. My short game technique is not good. In the past I've struggled with Lob wedges of 58* and or 60*.

However for the past couple years I've enjoyed playing a Cleveland RTX4 model 64* wedge. Unlike a 58* or 60*, which created a bit of uncertainty, it is clear and obvious to me when to play a shot with the 64*. That is any shot up from greenside to out about 70 yards, where I want the ball to stop where it lands. Unlike a 58* or 60*, which sometimes had bounce and roll for me, the 64* stops.

My 64 has gone to the barrel of clubs not in rotation.  I'm not getting rid of it but I've gotten very used to the 60* CBX Full Face in my bag.

Playing the 52, 56, & 60 Miura K Grinds.  Had a window to purchase one of a small number of new 64 K Grinds a few years ago.  It is a work of art and a 60 yard full shot wonder, but especially it is a short sided dragon slayer with a square face.  It's fun.
