I mean if its wet and muddy out, maybe just wear a different pair of shoes? I definitely have shoes for wearing in awful conditions, and different ones I like to pull out when its warm and dry...

 

I just rocked the NXT's Always Fresh over the weekend here in LA at our club thats nice and dry and they came out looking fine. just a little wipe on the rubber to get some dust off.

Practically, it’s golf too. It’s not some special AJ1 release. Would be crazy for Nike to invest in the tooling and not release additional color ways

Looks like a GR release, so it should show up in the US eventually.

I'm thinking they just pulled the previous tooling out of storage and refurbed it. So the costs were probably pretty minimal to get up and running. But you would think with the way the white sold out that something would click and they would do other colors to make more money. I guess time will tell. Maybe they bring them out before the PGA or something as more of the really northern courses start to re-open and people in those locales look at buying shoes? Who knows at this point. Nike's marketing and distribution when it comes to golf is a hot mess to say the least

I do NOT have inside info about Nike, but work around the mold and die industry. Pretty sure they would destroy the tooling when a product is discontinued and not expected to be relaunched anytime in the near future 

 

tools are big and take up a lot of storage space. Old tools sitting in a mold shop in China just open Nike up to IP theft issues.

I work in the auto industry and have dealt with dies that are 10+ years in storage. It really depends on the company and industry. Some keep them and some would destroy like you said. It's possible Nike brought them to the US for storage because of the China issues you mentioned (unlikely since that would probably be an expensive shipment) but who knows. I'd be shocked if they paid to build new tooling for such a limited run of shoes, gotta consider ROI and I can't imagine the amount of pairs they sold would have made a good business case. I also think we would have heard rumors about these shoes far earlier if they utilized new tooling since it takes time to build and people in the know would have been talking about it

I understand your point, but I doubt it for shoes. 
 

Nike isn’t responsible for making spare parts for 10 years like the automotive industry is. If they kept the CAD files from the OG, would be easy to recreate the tooling 
 

Nike moved on to the next design and I would think there’s no benefit to them to keep the tooling for a shoe which changes annually and probably was never expected to retro

Anyone with a wide foot play the Air Max 90 G? Local golf shop has a pair of LE ones I like but I don't want to torture my feet trying to wear them on the course.

I have a very wide foot and sized up from 10.5 to 11 and the air max 90’s are fine. A little tight for the first couple rounds, but once they break in they are good.

I ended up buying the Players LE ones, I did go up to a 12just for the comfort and space. I tried on the 11.5s in the regular Air Max and they fit like a glove but I knew my feet would be sore post round. Practicing this Friday so will see if I can get them broken in a bit.

 

Just wanted a casual golf shoe some days. Now the Air Max 270 G I couldn't even get my toes in those 😂
