I’ve been on a roll the last couple days and smoked a Wagyu brisket on Sunday and a pork butt yesterday. So taking a break and just grilling up some good ol’ dogs on pretzel buns later… Then I will need a cleanse and get back to my regular eating habits! 😜

... I just filled my propane tank at Costco yesterday. Almost empty and cost $7.44 for the fill up. When it's this hot it is silly to cook indoors.

Yeah we have those ppl here as well. We clearly don’t have the extremes of Chicago. But they still complain in the winter about the cold and then in the summer when it’s hot. When I hear one of them complaining about it being too cold for instance, I get a kick outta saying “Embrace it. In a few months you’ll be complaining that it’s too hot!”. 😂

I grilled chicken breasts and a flank steak for fajitas the other day. Didn’t get any pictures of the fajitas, but the leftover beef made a terrific topper for a strawberry, spinach and balsamic salad.

 

 

Our DIL is Indian and she’s bringing over some home cooked Indian dishes today, one of which I need to grill. Some kind of kabob. I’ve gotten to where I love Indian food, so I’m looking forward to it!

I grilled chicken breasts and a flank steak for fajitas the other day. Didn’t get any pictures of the fajitas, but the leftover beef made a terrific topper for a strawberry, spinach and balsamic salad.

Oh yeah! I smoke something almost every weekend. Started with a 40” Masterbuilt electric and now use a Traeger Ironwood 650.

Please excuse the shank net. Never thought I needed one until I sent a ball over the fence. It’s too hot for the range, so I just hit into the net and jump in the water every 20 minutes or so. I wouldn’t hit at all if not for the net and pool!

Just got back from watching "Sound of Freedom". Holy Hell, what a movie! I don't care if you haven't went to a movie theater for 20 years. If you don't go see another one this year, go see this one. All I will tell you is the guy who this is about is one of the bravest men I've ever heard of. A true American hero who many very powerful people tried to stop from telling his story. I thought the roadblocks lasted 2 years but at the end he said it was 5. It's a sick sick world out there.

We we’re treated to an impromptu 4am fireworks display last night 🤣

 

I heard this popping and saw flashing so I get up and somebody is lighting some pretty nice “display” type rockets like 2 or 3 blocks “behind us”

 

Lasted like 20 minutes, have no idea who it was, lol, but it was pretty bold.

Not a huge fan of going to the movies, but looks interesting from the trailer, may need to go.

I Googled and it seems there is some controversy regarding the accuracy of what’s depicted in the film. Hard to believe Hollywood would do that 🙃
