I have played graphite shafts in my irons for over 20 years. Due to playing a 100 or more rounds every year and practicing a bunch I need graphite shafts to spare the wear and tear on my joints and tendons. Graphite shafts are far easier on the body.

Let's make sure that we don't lump MMT's and Steel Fibers in the same category as other graphite iron shafts though. Those two models are constructed differently as they also have steel wound fibers used in their construction. They play quite a bit more stout because of this and also have a bit more stability compared to other high quality shafts. They are excellent shafts, but for some they are too stiff regardless of flex.  I tired a set of Steel Fibers in a set of irons and it was obvious after three weeks of use that I even in Senior Flex I could not load them. For reference my 7 iron swing speed is 78 mph. I have used 65, 75, and 85 gram shafts throughout the years. I have always used regular flex as my tempo is very smooth so keep in mind if you are more deliberate in transition these shafts that I am about to recommend might not suit you. But for you Big Fish, since I have seen a video of your swing, I think these three shafts that I feel are the best currently on the market would be a winner for you or worth a try out at least. You will want a heavier weight than I play though I'm sure. Earlier this year as many of you know I felt I was needing a lighter shaft with more flex. I was losing distance with my irons. I sucks getting old. I did some experimenting. (cough, no it was ho ing ) What ended up giving me a faster swing with my same desired high ball flight, with precise control were some senior flex Recoils that are 60 grams in weight. My Honma's and the P-790's had they exact same lofts. Because I went from 82 grams in regular flex in my Honma's to 60 grams and senior flex in my Taylor Made's I picked up significant distance gains. I am 10 yards longer now with my irons.  So what I am saying is demo a bunch of shafts, and if available try the three I am suggesting, and again in the  90-100 gram weight range for you. And try Regular flex first. Yes like many in our group have said there is quite an adjustment period coming from years of playing steel shafted irons, but I will say with confidence, if you find the right shaft for you, you will in 90 days be very glad you switched.  Maybe try the very popular MMT's and Steel Fibers first, and then if you're not sold try my suggested shafts.

I played these in my M5 irons for two seasons. Great shafts.

If the Recoils didn't win me over my next iron set was going to have these in them.

A good friend of mine and sometimes Scramble partner has a brand new set of TM Stealth irons with the Recoil 65s in them. I have hit them some. Besides the jacked lofts on the irons they are way light for me at this time. I have always had fast hands and still do even with my short swing. After a few shots I have a tendency to hook them off the planet. But I will concede that if and when I get older and can no longer swing the Steelfiber 95 I may go to them

You're real fortunate dad. Those MR 2's were like little Go Carts, and mine only had the stock 112 hp double overhead cam 4 cylinder! Their mid engine/rear wheel drive lay out made them handle like few others on the road.

When they first started racing 4 cylinders on dirt those MR-2s dominated. Prices on used ones in this area climbed through the roof. They basically banned them after the first year with rule changes that stifled them. Also after the first year they banned the Mazda rotary engines too. After that the GM Iron Duke 4 cylinders dominated but cost $$$$ to build. They ended up banning them.

I have always had your son's  lil' over the top move. One can still shoot useful numbers with such an affliction. Our cut swing works on quite a few tracks. Thanks for sharing the swing videos. 🙂

The cut swing even pre accident was a way of life for me. For me it was always a anti hook swing. I had a bad rope hooking problem in my teens and 20s due to my before mentioned fast hands. Even though I have a shorter swing now I still set up with my left foot flared out and an outside in swing with open face at impact. After my accident with the shorter swing I am still working on timing it up. LOL I do not pull it back far enough now to make a over the top move

The reliability greatly improved with the second generation. Those Z's were my favorite as I wasn't old enough to really appreciate the first generation.

Was yours black and gold with T-tops?  I always wanted a white one with either red or blue leather.

I've liked all the Z cars , but the three Japanese sports cars that I ended up owning were a Prelude, a Celica GTS, and a MR 2. 😄

Mine was blue and silver with T tops. It had the rea seats as my two girls were still young enough to fit in those and be fairly comfortable. It was pretty fast and handled really well. Great gas mileage, too. My wife and I left Marco Island, FL in it and our first gas stop was Hardeeville, SC. The only problem was rust forming around the rear window of the hatchback. The metal trim allowed water to sit and not drain properly and I don't think they were using the zinc coating on the metal in those days. We also had a 1992 Mitsubishi 3000 GT, It, too was a fun car.

... I was absolutely riveted with the chase scene in Bullit. Wanted a Shelby ever since. But 1,000 chase scenes later, it better be something unique and different or I am just bored. Same with some fight scenes. We KNOW Ethan Hunt isn't gonna die so don't try and build suspense around the fallacy that he might. Don't drag it out. Give me intelligent dialog, interesting set ups, intricate execution of plans, some close calls and if you can throw in something different or new all the better. Like the opening scene with Gina Carano and Channing Tatum in Haywire and a fight like I had never seen in a movie. I don't believe I took a breath til it was over.

Ya nailed it. There were 2 consecutive scenes that, to us, came across as “insert this scene here” formulaic. In one scene, the moviegoer was obviously supposed to feel huge suspense, but for us there was none.

But again, with such unanimous great reviews, I really think we were just hungry and it wasn’t that bad, lol, definitely check it out, want to hear your opinion

I did include his first name in my original post, but to be clear, the Hojgaard I chose was Rasmus, who already finished R2 and is nearly in last place.  I did not pick his twin brother, Nicolai, who is currently in 4th (-8) during his R2 play.  Oh well.

I’ve got a pork shoulder going right now. Got it on the Kamado around 8 this morning after a 24 hour dry brine. Gave it a light coating of Cholula Sweet Habanero sauce and covered it with a homemade rub. Hitting it with a brown sugar and apple cider vinegar based mop sauce every hour or so. We’ll also have carnitas and I’ll probably make some enchiladas. I’ll end up giving a healthy portion to our son and DIL. It was on sale for $1.77/lb, so I couldn’t resist.

Only 3-4 hours to go, so I have plenty of time for hitting into the net!

Almost what I did...I do use espresso, and some fresh herbs along with your items.  I then reduced the liquid down, then put it in the freezer so the fat/grease would freeze up, pulled it out, removed the fat/oil and then mixed the liquid back in with the meat.

I never got into punk, unless bands like the Talking Heads qualify, but I’ve always enjoyed this BH Surfers tune.
