I don’t get this video.  Why post numbers that were obviously misfit and sub optimal.  Why didn’t they post numbers whereby distance was maximized which is the point of comparing yesteryears driver vs one’s current optimally fit latest and greatest.

 

Who in their right mind would ever make a presentation like that at work?

Anyone still gaming a g400 stretch 3 wood? Was thinking of getting one and lofting up a tiny bit but a bit worried that it may close the face too much

Something's amiss. Spinning it at 3,000+ rpms yet gaining 3 MPH of ball speed vs. the modern gamer in a ping head which never has been a ball speed king. At lower loft and 2,200 spin this could potentially be a 5-6 mph ball speed increase and blow the gamer out of the water. Somethings seems off.

I still play G400 stretch 3 wood. I have it lofted up to 14* and yes it does close the face a little but it soles square to my eye. It sits slightly open when set to neutral so lofting up seems to square the face angle to me..

 

I still play it because it has a somewhat deep face, is super forgiving and easy to hit low spin bombs from the fairway or tee box. They are kind of hard to find in decent condition and still go for high prices so it shows that it is a desirable head still to this day.

 

BE WARNED, IT IS LOUD. Hotmelt could tame it a little but it is already a heavy head. I play mine at 42.5 inches long with a 75g shaft and D3.5 sw without hotmelt.

Mine cracked yesterday! 😓Don’t really know how as it wasn’t hit by anything other than a ball. 

Seeing those prices I’m torn between getting anotjer or “upgrading” to the G430 lst, that’s the video I want to see.

It would appear 2nd Swing doesnt want to sell their used inventory if they're all 15+yards shorter than the newer models which they are not. Optimally fit they're every bit as long as the new ones. I've played the G400 LST and its every bit as long as any new driver.
