Adam Scott's NEW custom Miura irons – 2023 THE PLAYERS Championship

Man, that offset is perfect. There are a lot of PGA Tour pros who don’t have the golfwrx offset allergy. The pros like the framing of the ball and launch boost in long irons.

The only reason I don’t like offset I guess is I probably unconsciously associate it with strengthening the lofts and hitting it fat and left. I don’t think I’ll ever replace my zero offset scratch irons unless I get to a point where they can’t be saved groove wise, but if I ever did look at a club with some offset these are some of the cleanest looking irons I’ve seen. They’ve got to look magnificent in a bag

For what its worth, I don’t like much offset because I am right eye dominant and any offset I see as a right hander gets exaggerated.  Same thing holds true with my Newport 2 putters, my 2001ish Pro Platinum has the Mark O’Meara plumbers neck that’s closer to the face while everything starting with the Selects and pre-2000 have more of what Tiger has with the neck a tad back from the face.  While both have the same measured 1 shaft offset, visually the setup like Tiger’s LOOKS like it has more offset and appears to set up closed.  I have the same problem with irons, and I prefer a neutral to slightly open look at address so I don’t feel like I’m going to pull it left.

There’s a good reason for the wide range of irons on the market, one size and setup really doesn’t fit all.

I've re-built and re-shafted a ton of irons sets over my lifetime and when golfers come to me with KBS shafts (especially stronger golfers), the tips are very often bent.  Not saying I haven't seen it with other brands as well, but I can almost always count on KBS tips being bent more often than others.

KBS actually offers a ‘reinforced tip’ version of certain models to mitigate or eliminate such issues that’s available to select accounts and tour.

I know what you mean, does this apply to face angles on woods for you too? Through lots of experimentation and back and forth with spec’d tour issue heads I’ve found that 2* open is what looks “square” to my eye, and around 2.5* is kind of a sweet spot, depending on lie angle and paint lines.

Most definitely, I play a TSi4 8* head at 7.25* loft.  Ideally, it will be a touch open at address so its square at impact.

Do you know which models and which accounts? Thx

Received information from Justin @Continental Golfin Raleigh, might want to give them a call for a bit more detailed information.

Ah yeah, aggressive! I’ve been meaning to setup my TSi3 9* like that to try out. The SIM is such a great “crank it open” anti-left driver but I’m a sucker for how good these TSi/r woods look at address, and I love that the “C1” setting opens the face AND flattens the lie angle, something the TM heads can’t do.
