Yes... However one thing myself and alot get caught up in is the testing of balls, drivers etc... By people typically very high swing speed... Once you come down to my level 99mph for driver which is even above average for a typical golfer... The distance gains are less ball speed.

Then take someone 85 mph these differences only really affect high swing speed. 

I've learned play a firmer ball for almost all swing speeds and use urethane for spin but I don't spend 60 bucks a dozen it's too much.

Those have been online for at least a month now.

I agree. I'm not a fan. I ordered gen 4 as they look cleaner to me. Unfortunately I was healing from hip surgery in November and was doing great then while waiting for them 2 weeks ago I slipped on ice and cracked 3 ribs. Can't even try the clubs for at least another month most likely. Return policy etc meaningless when u can't swing.

 

I do agree that they are cosmetically moving in a not so good direction in my opinion.

Agree with this 1000%.

 

I'm a diehard PXG fan and have been playing them since day 1. To me the Gen 5's were way too busy with all the contrast. I did buy/try them and they were great irons with feel and performance. But I have to like something visually before I will play them.

 

TO ME the Gen 6's just look cheap. BUT I will wait to se them in person before deciding for good.

 

When the Gen 4 drivers/woods came out I didn't like the crown of them at all in the pictures. When I saw them in person they looked so much better. I continue to play them and they are my favorite to date.

There is a T, it's just moving into the 0317 line with the ST & CB. It's got the goo as well.

I’m hoping that it matches the look of the other 0317 irons and not this horrendous look of the new GEN6 0311. If it does, combo set of T/CB will be ordered immediately.

Supposedly ( and my rep confirmed ) they are coming out with a totally blacked out head called the "Blackhawk". Those will definitely get my attention, and probably my money !!!!!!!

Legit. These were on my Instagram page and PXG politely asked me to take them down. They were part of an internal catalog.

0311 T Gen 3’s were their best release ever and I’ll die on this hill

I'm more interested if there will actually be a performance gap between 5 & 6. What can they do to improved them? Very little difference for me between feel at all from 3 through 5. I didn't really notice much trajectory or spin difference overall either with my erratic ball striking. I seemed to get a little better turf interaction on 5 over all previous generations. I've sold all my PXG irons for now and if they drop 5s way down after this release I may go back to some. They truly are hard to beat for feel,  forgiveness, looks down by the ball and distance in their category.

New to PXG, have some Gen 5 goodies but will be interested in upgrading to Gen 6 when it comes out. Question for PXG Troops here is what do your older generation PXG gear when you upgrade. Assuming you do not keep the older gear has anyone had luck trading in previous gen equiprment, if so where?

Trade ins with PXG are tough…the secondary market has a difficult time pricing PXG trades because the original pricing is always fluctuating. I’ve had good luck and bad luck trading in PXG clubs.

I love how some here say the Gen 5 and soon Gen 6 looks ugly, cheap, etc.  Gen 6 reminds me of Titleist TMB.    Yet, if this same club had a Titieist logo on it instead of PXG there would be “drool, take my money now” comments all over the place here.  Give me a break.

Well everyone has their taste and opinions. That's why I still play the Gen 4's, along with the performance.

 

And back to taste and opinions. If it had Titleist on it I wouldn't even look at it.

Let’s just wait and see what Gen 6 is all about.   Soon the launch and reviews will be out there.  All I know is since I’ve put Gen 5 in the bag all I do is take my friends money on the course.  This season will be even sweeter with the PXG ball.  Their heads are going to explode.  Lol

I would agree on the driver as it looks like a cross between taylormade and Titleist. Gen 5 and 6.

 

However irons not at all. Not a gen 5 is 6 fan. That's why I ordered gen 4.

That's shame. It seems Bob is letting his wife's weird euro fashion styles creep more into the golf clubs. Really it's just another layer to the continual identity crisis PXG has been going through for sometime. Luxury v. Not Luxury. SuperEuroStyle v. America-made & military. Etc etc.

What they market as ‘European style’ in America is never really very European. Just seems to be a tag line.
 

As a European, I think the clubs look very American. Not a criticism, just an observation. The baggy polos look American too. That is a criticism 😄

Have all gen4 clubs currently in my bag (except putter and 0211 7 wood) and perfectly content with them all, but if the gen6 driver is actually the one pictured in this thread I’ll buy it. I agree with a previous poster about the front weight. I really like having that option.
