Just got the MLM2PRO. I know its not the same price range but its a tempting switch. No special balls required. Cheaper annual fee. $700 + $200 annual fee + $70 1 dzn balls vs $3k + $99 annual fee. Trying to justify the splurge in my head.

On their website, the pics of the back of the unit say "Powered by Rapsodo" which is intersting.  Did they have a prior agreement with them?  Did they buy Rapsodo?  Quick Google search turned up nothing.

SkyTrak has always been  partnered with Rapsodo, they worked on the first model together

right, thats why we could assume the pricing would be higher than mlm2pro as theyd never help develop something that would be competition with their own product

I just got the new SC4 from Swing Caddie, I am more interested in the new SkyTrak, but do not want to drop $3K until we see some initial reviews. I bought the SC4 on a whim because I am going to the beach next week and am bringing my mat and net to hit balls in and wanted something to keep me engaged. This new SkyTrak looks to be the real deal, and I am sure it will be a popular choice. The big thing is, how do I convince my wife that a $3K charge on the credit card was for my mental health and well-being? 🤣

I have the OG Skytrak and it’s pretty great. I’m very interested in this one. It would be nice if they did a trade in option.

$3000 - $550(SC$) - 3 rounds a week for 6 months @ $35 a round. Original skytrak is 9 years old. Youd save $23,000 by buying this.

Screw it, I ordered one! I’ve been a SkyTrak user for years, and I trust them. I don’t want to wait for reviews and have to face a multi-month wait time. I hope they get the metal case up for order ASAP.

The price isn’t bad, but how much is to add Sim golf to it. Did they raise that price.

According to the website you only need the basic plan to use sim software. I haven’t tried it since I use my iPad for everything.

According to the playbetter site it's $249 per year for 15 E6 and 15 WGT courses for iOS or 15 E6 courses for PC.

Sold mine last year for $1,500 before purchasing the Full Swing Kit. They're just a year too late.

 

Also, I wonder if Golftec will put these in their shops now that they own SkyTrak?

i've owned the OG unit as well - i think they've done a nice job updating the software over time, you did have to hang on thru a few less great upgrades!  - i bot my unit in the prerelease, surprises me that it still works and that i've actually owned it for 12 years - this upgrade would be nice

I've had my SkyTrak since October 2017 and use it on average 5 days per week.  It's been rock solid and worth every penny.  The new unit has me intrigued for sure but $3K is a tough decision.  Not that I wouldn't get the use out of it but just not sure that the additional features it provides will really do anything more for me from a practical standpoint.  I won't make any decisions until I see some head to head testing of the old vs new models and see if I can't live without it. 

 

That being said, if my old SkyTrak broke down tomorrow I'd have no issues buying another so maybe the way to go is just buy the new one when the old one kicks the bucket...or if I feel the burning desire to get the new one.

So does anyone know what the dual doppler radars are for? Is it for measuring ball flight outdoors or is it for club information or something else maybe?
