Sports Leather Headcovers, Best Place to Get Quality, Groomsmen Gift

I'm getting married next year and I'm trying to come up with Groomsmen gifts. I'm open to good ideas if anyone has any, I'm someone in the back half of friends to get married so some stuff has already been done. I'm thinking get every groomsmen a solid leather driver cover if I can figure it out, have to get the teams and quality correct. Would anyone have any recommendations for teams (looking for NFL, MLB or college). 

 

I would also be open to ideas as I said above. Was thinking about getting everyone a dug out mug with the shot handle (its a beer mug made out of the barrel of a bat and the handle turns into a shot glass).

The team thing could throw a wrench into it because of licensing if you’re looking for custom work. Doesn’t mean that you won’t find someone who may not follow the rules/laws but it likely will make it tougher. The ones off the top of my head that I know don’t do team covers.

Check out Headgear golf. Never did a custom but their website shows some great custom made covers. Go with wedding colors and the date.

ep headcovers makes all of the head covers for swag. and it looks like they do pro and college sports teams.

Just my 2¢ but I wouldn’t do “custom” unless you’re aware of the costs. Quality, custom leather headcovers will most likely run you $150+ each so depending on how many groomsman you have that could get real expensive real quick. 
 

Plus, if I were a groomsman I’m not sure I’d want a headcover with something like my friend’s name or wedding date on it. Just seems like something I would feel like I had to use but wouldn’t be happy about it. 
 

Taylormade has an NBA line for driver and putter headcovers. If you want to do teams that’s where I’d start.

That's exactly part of the problem, trying to match quality with price. Figure I have to get two gifts, one when I ask them to be groosmen another for the wedding.

 

The actual websites for the sports teams have some decent ones for ~$30, might go that route. Dunno if its good quality though.

Why do you say that? I've been a groomsman probably a dozen times, and never once was I given (or expected) a gift when the groom to be asked me.

 

FWIW... 90% of the groomsman gifts I've received have been lost or thrown away over the years. I just don't have a need for a decanter or a flask or a set of beer mugs with someone else's wedding date on it, and I don't want to have to find room in my house to store it.

 

If you ask me, the best gifts are things you'll actually use. My advice would be to get them a bottle of their favorite wine or whisky instead of something that will most likely become trash after a few months..

Exactly, I've gotten some good gifts for being in weddings and some that have gone on the shelf. 

 

I tried googling some ideas, every is just decanters or personalized switch blades. Figured headcovers was a good idea, but idk, I don't want to make guys feel they need to use them.

Don't think you are going to find one of better quality at this price

 

Not sure if they do custom but email them and you will get a response pretty quickly

Maybe go with something less conspicuous like a ball marker.

I went to Callaway Preowned and got some MD4 wedges (MD5 had just come out and weren't on the CPO site yet) on one of their 35-40% off sales.  Then I got a set of punches from Harbor Freight and punched everyone's initials and a bible verse into the wedge.  Then I sprayed the club with Citristrip to remove the Callaway paint and got some Testors enamel paint to repaint with everyone's college colors.  Total cost came to less than $80 per club.  It helped that I only had 4 groomsmen.  Here's one with Baylor green and gold.
