Ocean front property in North Dakota for anyone that thinks getting a $100 gift card is gonna be simple. Can easily see the fitter targeting one of the aspects that didn’t perform well and making it so PXG wins 99/100 times. Set the driver up like a ping for bad dispersion or deloft/SLDR setup the piss out of it for spinny, poor smash factor.

gonna try anyway as i thanks my paradym triple d with ventus is gonna be tough for them to get around.

They just need to follow their Terms & Conditions. It's worth a shot, nothing to lose, a hundy is a hundy if you have the time to play.

I also think you have better odds at this $100 than you do hanging on a bar for 100s at the county fair

I'm in, Rustic Canyon in a few weeks. Really curious if it will beat my S2+ TR Red combo so curious to see what the fitted will come up with.

Thanks OP for the headsup 👍

Gotta say PXG customer service is top notch. Fitter called me just now about my 9am challenge appointment in the morning. He asked me what driver I am brining and I said a OG Stealth + Ventus TR Blue… and he said “OH”😳 will be fun and free time on the monitor to see what my setup does. Gen6 would have to be phenomenal to make me change.

...lucky this is NOT a putter challenge either, that would be a cool $200 in your pocket 🍻

My advice is really warm if you can if you are serious about getting $100. They jump right in and start recording your gamer drives.

Walked out a loser this morning 😂 it was free and it was fun to do. Trevor at the Mesa store was cool to work with and very knowledgeable. Had a rep there with him watching too.

I went to the driving range and hit some to warm up and practice like I would have anyway. I show up and he told me to warm a few my 7 iron. I stopped the first one and he said “uh oh” this is going to e a tough one to beat. Lol. Then after a few said “you went a warmed up already didn’t you”. I just smiled.

My driver Stealth+ (all std) Ventus TR Blue 6s no tipping and 45”. He gave me 3 driver warmup swing and then 5 swings with 3 best with mine and did not swing it great. My OTT pull draw was there. He saw that and wanted to correct it. He did see that my driver setup was D5, a little heavier than I thought.

He fit me in the regular Gen6 head with a GD XC 5s, heavy weight in toe, and 45”. Driver looks very very good at address. Feels great at impact. I immediately liked that setup. SS went up 2.5 mph and much straighter. I’ll admit, I swung it better than mine. I was getting through it better for sure. A few swing and tried the AD TP and that was a no go. Back to the XC 5s and then the challenge started. PXG got me by 6 yds in carry, but mine got it in dispersion (all left side of the grid and not good in my opinion). In my opinion I do not think the Gen6 is that fast. Ball speeds were low for my SS on trackman graphs. I will say the driver is really good and would love that setup, but not coughing up $649. If I would have been able to go back to my driver for a few more dialed in swings I would have nipped the Gen6.

In my opinion, smart move by PXG doing this. They will sell more drivers with this sales pitch. I will say all

the times I have been in PXG store their customer service is top notch!! If you have the chance to do this it is worth it.

Now I am peeking at used XC 5s shafts for my stealth. Really liked that shaft.

Looking at TM report. You can see that the XC shaft was better than the TR for me. Purple is gammer challenge, blue is PXG XC challenge, and red is PXG XC best during fitting. IMG_6435.png.c38882eba004e8ae3f21872c736b581f.png

so how off was your gamer from a dispersion stand point (sounds like purple was your gamer?). maybe a yard or two?

Is that side total on trackman? It’s embarrassingly different. 73L for gamer and 1.6L for PXG. I was not swinging well with mine. But…. I see that miss on the course. Goes forever and left. Huge pull is my nemesis with the TR.

Could the stiff handle vs soft handle make that kind of difference?

so was the dispersion closest to target line or overall dispersion? To me your gamer was almost there on dispersion

They said I beat them with my dispersion. They beat me on distance. Yes, it was there because three balls were near each other way left of the grid.

Yes, it's why I prefer the TR Red over TR Blue for my swing. Also why I tend to use AD TP as well.

For giggles, I wish they would update the counter on their challenge page.

Winner winner, chicken dinner!!!

My Paradym just pipped all combos in both distance and dispersion. How I won was related to three factors, one on me, one on the fitter, and the biggest of all, the PXG ball.

First, kind of like a long drive competition I made damn certain my first two balls were in the grid. I hit two pull cuts that were within 10 yards of center. This allowed me to go after the last three with draw attempts. My swing speed was the same but the draw knocked off just enough spin to pick up a few yards. Having the confidence after the first two shots was essential.

Second, this put the pressure on the fitter. We tried three different combos, but I think because of the series of tweaks, shafts, weights, hosel settings, I couldn’t find the center of the face often enough. Plus, we hit five shots per combo, after warming up for 5-10 minutes, so by the end I was slowing down and losing face/path control.

Third, the PXG ball spins. I got lucky on my three shots that I could knock some spin off the ball. Since I couldn’t quite find the strike with the PXG I saw spin jump a few hundred revs. When struck well the PXG spun similar to my Cally, but an off center strike compounded by a spinny ball led to shorter distances.

Had the order been reversed, or the very first fitting was dialed in 100%, the results may have been different. The PXG Gen6 is legit and no doubt could be a monster given a proper fitting. Overall the challenge was awesome. The PXG guys were great. Had I lost, it still would’ve been a blast. I fully recommend giving it a shot.

I'm doing it next Saturday at Chicago West. I have time to kill and it's win-win either way as far as I'm concerned - I find a good driver fitting (which I won't buy) or a get $100.

Like others have said, it's a good marketing campaign and I think some others have left out a few other reasons why others are doing:

  • We're in the buying doldrums - they are paying staff to be in store and there are not a ton of fittings being done (literally every day and time was available when I booked). Even if 1 person in 10 buys, there is likely more traffic than there normally would be
  • Golfer's FOMO - some will always want the best
  • Alternate sales - people may stick around to try irons/wedges/putters
  • Future sales - everyone knows PXG runs crazy sales. They might not but it today, but will pick it up when they sell it for $250

Driver - Callaway Rogue 💎💎💎 9* - HZRDUS Black Gen4 6.0 60g

I completed mine yesterday at the Minneapolis store - Had a pretty nice rep who worked hard to beat my gamer.   It was 5pm on a Saturday think he was worn out from doing 10 or so that day already.

I had warmed up previously, my gamer - a 44.5 stealth with custom shaft and a mid size grip, they could not compete with.   The Gen 6 driver was ugly in comparison.  Hit my 5 good ones, then switched to his driver, he couldn't come close.  The spin was up like 1000 revs.    When it was clear I was "winning" I might have helped it along with some really big slices followed up with big old hooks.  Didn't want their spinny driver beating me on dispersion.

He wasn't very happy and quickly ended our session stating that I'm the winner.   Sent me on my way saying I would get an email with the card, which is a little suspect.  Card better arrive!
