Affordable alternative to Bridgestone Tour BX

I ❤️ this ball, but I hate it's price tag.  They were $35/dozen on Walmart.com, but not anymore. The BXS is still $35/dozen there, but it's too hard for me. 

 

I like their flier prevention and their feel. 

 

Does anyone know any good less expensive alternatives to it?

The XS is softer than the X as per my golf spy.

I’d give the 2023 Maxfli Tour X a try. They will likely launch a bit higher, but not a lot. It definitely won’t be “flier prone” like a Pro + might seem.

Several places have sales right now with three dozen costing $109. That’s about $36/dozen. Not bad.

The Tour B XS is much softer than the Tour BX

How can you possibly think the BXS feels firmer than the BX?  They are not even close.

 

Vice Pro Plus bough in bulk is the correct answer.

I went the regular Tour and was satisfied.

Ha. I assumed the BXS was harder bc I lost like 5 yards off the tee on it and assumed it was because it was the Tiger ball.  Maybe it was the 3500 rpm driver spin rate. 

 

Maybe I'll the the BXS. But I guess it doesn't matter because they are both the same sale price now at the galaxy of golf.

Vice Pro Plus and Tour B X give me really similar numbers on launch monitor, I’m starting to prefer the pro plus these days I think.

You were probably shorter off the tee because the ball spun more.  BXS is the softer spinnier ball of the Tour B balls.

 

If you're looking for a more affordable ball that's similar --- the Maxfli Tour X in the 48 pack is an option. Or Snell Prime X. 

 

I played the BX and switched to the Maxfli Tour X for fall and early spring golf when you could easily lose balls in leaves

The trackman optimizer said I needed to lose around 800 rpm with driver, and then the total would be like 265. I tried lowering the loft which felt awkward. Well hit on the course they get to 265 with roll, so it's probably fine.

It would be very hard to find one ball that spins 800rpm less off the driver than another ball.
