Same thought I had. Love the matte on G6. PXG rewrote the saying to “new and mattey” instead new and shiny.

Matte is the dream. I have stated this here or elsewhere, I can't remember, but I REALLY wish manufacturers had the ability to offer both to taste.

I believe Black Ops drops tomorrow and hearing its the best driver/fairway/hybrid PXG has ever made.  Looking forward to this.

Its looks great and I am happy they appear to be sticking with the moveable weight system. Looking forward to seeing them out in the wild.  That head cover is money.

Don't get me wrong, I am definitely a PXG fan and have been since day 1.

 

BUT, every OEM (incuding PXG) says this about the new offerings every year. After all the dust settles I imagine it will be better for some and not for others, just like always.

 

ANOTHER BUT, I hope it is better as the G5 and G6 didn't beat out my G4. So I am itching to buy another Driver for sure.

 

I do wish PXG would have kept the flat black crown though. Not a fan of the shiny black.

No, going to BBQ Camp Friday & Saturday. If you go, snap a picture of the different heads for me. Hopefully they'll have a low spin deep face option this go around.

Oh I'm not planning on going. I'll wait and see what happens after everyone starts playing them. Like I stated earlier the G5 or G6 Driver didn't come close to beating out my G4/Autoflex combo. And I did try the heads on the autoflex also.

I found a brand new Gen 4 XT head and snatched it up.  People still sleep on this club, it is very long!

Tour 1 might not be ready to hit in store on launch day, was told it looks like end of month before demo head arrives.

The Black Ops Tour-1 appears to be same design as the Tour-3 but shorter length front/back and taller.   Probably very low spin head.  Forgiveness...forget it.
