Just tried the FJ Pure and not a big fan. Extra material between the fingers. It’s nice if you haven’t used the PXG. Maybe better than the alternatives I’ve tried so far. Waiting on the Red Rooster and Ghost Golf.

Closest in quality and feel to the PXG so far BUT it’s got an amazingly annoying strip on the inside of the glove that chaffs the wrist. It’s also quite high on the wrist for my taste. I don’t think I can get past it, it feels like having an itchy tag on. 
 

The materials, fit and finish of the glove, minus that strip, are great. 
 

There was no indication of this strip of material in the photos or copy of their website. If they stopped the glove after the Velcro, this would’ve been great.

If you’re not looking for a Cadet glove, Ghost Golf’s glove is excellent. For me, slightly loose in the knuckles, but a drum in the palm. For $30 I paid for it on sale, I think it’s the best one I’ve experienced apart from PXG. This is an even better feeling material than the Red Rooster, and very thin. I’m going to try this one out in the Sim for a while.

As long as I get the right size, a glove is a glove is a glove as far as I'm concerned. I got a 4 pack of Kirkland gloves last winter and I still have one new one left.

I just got my Sussex in as well, what strip are you talking about? Could be a manufacturer error during production. 

 

I might grab a PXG glove or two when I'm in Arizona this week. Will test them through the winter and see if I order more or that's it. 

 

But if not will stick with Red Rooster unless someone gives me a glove sponsor 😂

Stopped by PXG Scottsdale today just killing time and realizing that I'm probably sweating through all my gloves I brought this week. 

 

Grabbed 2 of their gloves, funny enough the Cadet was a better fit for me in these. Also staff was super helpful. 

 

Will probably wear one Thursday or Friday.

I like the Footjoy Hyperflx...thin leather on the palm and keeps its shape pretty well...plus the fit is good for me in Cadet M/L.

Played 2 rounds with the PXG glove while in Arizona. Wasn't hot so hard to say how they'd hold up with my sweat. 

 

But I do think they are nice gloves so just grabbed 2 more to be set for a bit and avoid shipping costs later.

My season is done, just simulator golf from here on out unless I have a spontaneous golf trip.

The other glove I’ve tried and liked *over the long term* was the Mizuno Elite. I’ve got some others strewn about that I meant to use or used once or twice from Titleist, Kirkland, Bionic, FJ, but I keep wanting to use the PXG, and it feels like a special item when I decide to use it vs a different glove. 
 

What’s your go to glove that’s not as good as the PXG???

I prefer Red Rooster Gloves

I bought max allowed bc I tried quite a few gloves, including many recommended on this thread, and nothing beat out the PXG for me. Maybe you can overnight from Amazon and try it out before they stop the sale. I’ve not seen these on sale before, but I’m glad I looked.

I used MG gloves in XXL for past 3 years.  Play every day, and went thru 5 per season.

Bought some Callaway 2019 gloves on sale (2 for $15) in June, and it still looks good in November.  No holes, just discovered from dirt!  These are tough made gloveee so!

Back to this - I put the Red Rooster Sultan, the FJ FancySchmancy and my PXG in rotation during my recent trip to Miami. 
 

Only the PXG kept my hands free from callouses. I had absolutely forgotten about my hands getting ripped up bc I’ve been using the PXGs for so long. 
 

I’ve never been more convinced this is the perfect glove for me and you are missing out if you don’t play it.

Ping Tour is pretty much the same glove as the PXG, and not surprising given who PXG employs. The Ping Tour has been my go-to glove for years and continues to be. I dipped my toes into the Red Rooster world and to be honest, I am not impressed with them enough to put through another order. I found the coloured gloves to offer very little tack/traction compared to the white gloves (The Feather) and when I went to try on 2 of the black ones, they both tore and had to be replaced. On one of the red gloves I purchased, it was stitched poorly and they also had to replace it. Zero complaints about Red Rooster customer service - they stepped up but in all my years of golfing and buying gloves, I've never had that many quality issues from the get go.

 

Seeing as we can order direct from PXG Canada, I might grab a 6 pack of their players glove and give it a try as the reviews are just as good as the Ping Tour have been.
