PXG Gloves are my favorite. How about you?

Recommended Posts

I’ve tried everything I can get my hand in and the PXG Player’s glove is by far the best fit and finish for me. It is soft soft soft, it is reasonably durable, and it fits my hand M/L Cadet like a glove. No pinching, no extra material, just perfect.

I also appreciate it comes in a zipper bag to preserve the glove for multiple rounds. I’m hard on my gloves, but I make sure I get my money’s worth before a new glove goes on.

The other glove I’ve tried and liked *over the long term* was the Mizuno Elite. I’ve got some others strewn about that I meant to use or used once or twice from Titleist, Kirkland, Bionic, FJ, but I keep wanting to use the PXG, and it feels like a special item when I decide to use it vs a different glove.

What’s your go to glove that’s not as good as the PXG???

Right now Red Rooster Golf Feather glove has been my go to. Quality seems good, I like that they donate a glove to a youth program for every glove purchases. I like that they're based in Canada which is nice for me and bonus if a glove doesn't fit properly I can just exchange or return it without fuss.

Read good things about RR - but they’re not in any of my local USA stores and I don’t want to hassle with DTC on something like gloves. Also, the diff models are a pain to sort through.

They’re having a sale on their site now, but I don’t know what glove I would want to try - the one you mention is not in the sale and more $$$ than the PXG. Is the feather the flagship?

Have you been able to try both?

They're not in any stores but that's not a big deal for me I guess but easy for me if I have issues as it's just a postage stamp to return them.

The Feather seems to be their most popular, I've tried that and The Silkie which has some more stretch to it but I like full leather when I can. I've also tried The Sultan but it was a smaller cut so I returned it, I want to try The Sussex next and see what I think of that, if not I'll just stick with The Feather as I know it fits.

I haven't tried a PXG glove, kinda the same boat for me but I might grab one when I'm in Arizona in a few weeks if I stop by their HQ.

Another DTC glove that's solid is Circle15, they're in the US and have sales often. I used to buy them a bunch but had some sizing and QC issues and their CS never responded to my messages so no more purchases from them for me. But when the gloves were fine 90% of the time they were really good.

Best on the market in my opinion. Maybe not as durable as some others but for fit and feel it’s good.

No cadet option on the website. I’m halfway between cadet and std, but I prefer the snugness of the smaller glove, rather than a bit of the loose material. Shame for me.

I am a cadet as well and that worried me. I am a Cadet M/L the dude assured me that the MED would fit as the lycra on the back stretches. Well the glove fit perfect so don't hesitate to try. If it does not fit, you can send it back.

Kirkland. I go through so many gloves in the Phoenix heat that I got tired of spending the money on premium gloves.

Its from 2020 but it fits better than any glove I have ever used

I also use FootJoy Rain gloves in the summer because I sweat so much I have to wear 2 gloves when I play

Only problem, once you go there, no coming back, the best glove made, just not cheap.

Do you all mind mixed materials? Thoughts on all leather vs synthetics?

Ideally prefer full leather but since I have large hands and gloves do vary in size sometimes a stretchy material in the right spot is nice, but palm has to be full leather for me.

I'll have to try them, but lately I've been buying Zero Friction gloves because they are inexpensive and seem to fit better than any other glove I've used. Moisture can be an issue with them, but they stretch well.

Put another 36 holes on a newish pair of PXG today and boy, what a pleasure. They came right out of the zip bag from prior use, in perfect condition. No drying up, no wrinkles, no creases, no holes, very little dirt from two or three rounds prior…

The quality difference can totally be felt compared to the Kirklands and a Titleist I futzed around with today, just bc of this thread. I am looking for the Pure Touch next time I’m at the shop. I’d like to know what is $10 better than the best glove ever invented by man or machine.
