Xcaliber shaft orders??

Anyone have an order in with Xcaliber. Things seemed to have gone dark. I have an unfulfilled order in since the 11th. Emails go unanswered. Anyone else waiting on product?

That’s not a good sign. I was going to puta rider in for a few shafts (that 8 don’t really need) so I’ll holdofffot now.

Maybe a couple. I'm away from the shop for a good week or so. I may have a few of the Avalon i8 or i9 also. Also may have some shaft pulls. Ill give you any i have. Shame those are not made any more. Such a great design. Factory dropped production and no one else could step up to make them.

I should have a few Pro X shafts.  I have them in a storage unit.  I have to pass by there tomorrow so I can check.

Gentlemen, I have (8) Pro-X 85s shafts that I would like to move.  (1) new un-cut, (1) that was pulled from a 5 iron, and (6) that are still in my OG TS-2 / TS-1's.  Great shafts I'm sure, they just don't work for my ever slowing swing.  The problem is, the one that I pulled from the TS-2 five iron is all buggered up on the tip now.  Some of the metal mesh weave stuff just "flaked off" of the graphite.  I have pulled many graphite shafts (mini butane torch / shaft puller) and never had an issue.  But now I am reluctant to try and pull the rest.  Have any of you guys had a similar issue with pulling a Pro-X?  Any advice?

I use a heat gun as it is far less likely to break down a graphite shaft. A gas torch can be a lot on graphite. I have not had the metal mesh be compromised before.

I've never had a problem pulling the Pro X or Tour X shafts using a torch, but I can see how it can be an issue of you keep a little too much heat on.  It sounds weird but its true that pressure on the head is better than extra heat.

Heat for 15-20 second intervals with your micro torch and a good amount of pressure from your shaft puller. You’ll be fine. 
 

best I can tell from your picture that shaft doesn’t look overheated.

Well still nothing. I filed a PayPal dispute. Who knows maybe this is finally the end.

That is a woman who specifically handles social media. She has nothing to do with day to day business. She can't get a hold of him either.

Ah okay. In my experience as an accountant when vendors go dark they rarely comeback.

This is a trick he does. It's been a while and you honestly never know how long it will be for. Might be a week. Might be 3 months.

The owner Robin Arthur had some serious health issues a few years ago and went dark for a long while then too.

May be so, but I actually got my information from chatting with Tom Wishon. Tom knows Robin Arthur quite well.

Anyone have any updates on Xcaliber shafts?  Their website is “under new management”, but Billy Bob Golf has some of his shafts for sale. Maybe he decided to sell his remaining inventor to Billy Bob and hang it up. ?? I was Looking for a few Rapid taper shafts.

Supposedly after his last 'illness' he hired some sort of management company. He obviously can't do it alone. Billy Bob's had some inventory for quite some time. 

Let me see if I can find out when things will be available again.

It's been quite a few years now but Robin used to be great to deal with.

 

Always returned phone calls and responded to emails promptly.

The under new management is just a website/social media manager. Also someone to remove him from day to day operations. 

He is still controlling the company.
