I live in Chicago. They’re based just outside the city so only took a day, according to FedEx.   I also ordered basically right when they started to accept pre-orders so was prolly some of the first shipped.

If I remember, I’ll take some more pics when I get home. The finish is nice, one of the better black finishes I’ve seen.

I’ve rolled a few of these and while I think they look nice and felt pretty good, I wouldn’t say this new milled face feels phenomenal or much different than the rest. 

 

I kind of expected the sound slot in the BB-1 Wide to create more of a different/higher pitched sound than it did.

I think Bettinardi doesn’t want it to be much different. Their lineups have different face millings to bring subtle changes to the feel depending on what players like as it is entirely individual. They’re not changing all of their faces to this milling, it is just a new offer. People who like the flymill they have been doing will probably like this. I would not expect it to be a major difference — if that putter made a high-pitch sound what you’d mostly see on these boards is complaints!
 

I don’t care for putters that (to me) feel too soft, partly because I like to play a softer ball. I really liked the Ping Heppler face with no milling whatsoever, just a nice flat steel face and firm feel. The mini honeycomb is my favorite on Bettinardi but I like the fly mill and roll control face too (their softest). They do feel different if you roll them one after another and the type of ball used makes a big difference too.

Mine just showed up a few minutes ago, snapped some pics for you guys before I even unwrapped it. First impression - this thing is gorgeous! So nice to get a quality magnetic head cover as well.

Killer looks. There is a gentle sheen to the black pearl finish that looks great. It’s not shiny at all but it has a richer look than a matte finish.

Has anyone ever sent their putter to bettinardi for bumper stamps? Curious on turnaround time and quality(I’m sure they do good work).

I got mine last week. usually in my house every putter sound clicky but not this. Super muted/soft

That is a gorgeous putter @jrshelby One of the prettiest black finishes I can recall. I am down to either this one or the new BB28. Just want to roll both and  I also want to see the new Inovai’s in January before I decide. But leaning hard to the two wide blades in this collection.

Bettinardi makes a very high quality product. I've been rolling my SS7 for about 3 years now. Love it more and more every day.
