2024 Bag Is Set Challenge (BISC) Thread!!!

Ok so as of tomorrow when I receive my vokey sm10 54.10s my bag will finally be set and I'll get my first trip in it next Wednesday at my first league night havnt went yet as I was in the middle of the bag overhaul so gets goes.

Most everything is midsize grips besides a few that I'm not sure I'm going to change. 

 

As of now nothing is going to change unless the new Titleist woods line ups really impress me in which case I'll exchange the 5w for a 4w if they offer them. 

 

Also want to switch my Cleveland 60 out for a vokey sm10 60.04m I think was the recommended bounce and grind I need on my 60 but can't remember. I randomly purchased my Cleveland 60 last year on ebay slightly used and have been happy with it tho. It's also just not in my budget. 

 

Ive done a total bag overhaul this year, my first fully fit custom set in my 41 years, been playing since I was 10 just never had the time I do now to devote on it. I'm pretty excited and this will be my first league I've ever joined. In years past ive played 3-4 times /year and at one point when 6 or so where I didn't play at all due to work. But I've always been able to go out shoot upper 80s, low 90s while not playing much. 

 

So my goal with all the time I've spent on here researching the past 1.5 years and the time I've put into building my bag out is to be shooting low 80s regularly by this time next year. 

 

I have invested into a PLM, with a nice net, I'll be practicing more than I play and I believe my goal is not too crazy. 

 

Sorry for the long post I've just been waiting until I could actually say my bag is finally set albeit not 100% within the rules of this challenge as I've obviously spent time on Sims and getting fitted in order to build my bag.  But have not had them out to the course yet.

Changed driver head going into this season and it's been so great -- but even more so I've realized how much I like the Black Tie 6M3. So pulled the trigger on a 7M3 and will build up a TaylorMade M3 3 wood that's been sitting in my drawer for a while, thus finally kicking my old 906F4 out of the bag. The small head size, straight face (none of the twist face in the fairway wood pls) and sliding weight will be excellent. 

 

Picked up a Modus 105 X for the old UDI as well while I was at it. Curious to see if it's a better fit than the 120 X currently in there, but we will see.

I started the beginning of the season injured and once I was able to swing again I dedicated a few months to club testing and getting my bag dialed. I’m 100% healthy again and really happy I took the time to really figure out what clubs work. My Handicap is currently a 9.

So it’s 99% official of me being out…I said I’d be out at some point due to the Mizuno 245’s coming out.  Just got my set last week and had them built up to my specs with graphite, grips and ferrules. They’re “in the bag” but haven’t played yet so 😬.

I'm out, never had a chance. Was going to get in on this, started the year strong, but...

 

Since March, replaced my:

 

Driver - Aerojet > Aerojet LS > Darkspeed LS

3 Wood - TSR3 > Aerojet

Hybrid - sold

4 iron - set Zx7 Mkii > P790

Putter - GoLo 7 DB > standard GoLo 7

 

Have a P790 3 iron on the way for testing...
