Good golf content to watch while hitting balls indoors this winter

Hey Golfers,

I practice a lot on my simulator and usually like to have golf content on the TV while I do that. 

 

Not instructional videos per se but just golf content in general.  - I'm not a giant fan of golf  social media "influencers" either. 

 

Ive run through the Chasing Scratch youtubes, all of Montes videos , alot of Martin Chuck videos and alot of AMG videos. 

 

Im thinking of trying out Rick Shiels next but I really like listening to golf instructors talk about golf in general while hitting balls. 

 

What do y'all golf addicts watch recommend?

I watch a channel called Mista Short Hitter almost exclusively. He aims his content at the average, everday "short hitting" golfer, like most of us are. He also does equipment reviews and his golf ball reviews are more relatable to newer and/or "cheap" golfers. An example is he tested the Wilson Smart Core, a ball I used when I started playing again. I have never seen anyone else review that ball. He even provided spin and launch numbers. One of his current videos focused on golf course etiquette which benefits newer players and also 
Before my stroke I was just a little above being a hack golfer. Now I can't play at all but, I still watch his channel.

I just mounted a TV in my sim room for this purpose. I've been keeping the Golf Channel on. When I jog on my treadmill I've been trying to shy away from instructional videos (bad idea to watch three of them and then try to implement all three in the next practice session) so I've been watching a fair amount of matches- Rick Shiels, Grant Horvat, Good Good/GM Golf and Fat Perez are all good ones.

"Taco Golf" (youtube) does these almost ASMR type golf videos where it is just hit hitting shots on beautiful courses with no voice over. Just the sounds of the game. I really enjoy it. I don't really like watching teenage dudes hit bombs and bro out but I also won't really watch anyone play golf that isn't at least a + handicap.

BustaJack Golf, just go through their "Golfing Ol' Glory" series from this year if you haven't. 50+ videos that are 30min+ each.

My cousin got me into The Golf Sidekick. Very mellow I think South African guy taking a practical approach to the game and living the dream in Thailand.

Not interested in the “influencers” & GoodGood gets recommended right away. Lol

 

If you’re more interested is just listening (vs watching) while hitting balls in your sim then podcasts are the way to go.  Golf.com’s Subpar and RickSchiels podcasts are a pretty good listen.

Or the full length versions of old majors.  20/30/40 years old, and more.

Ive enjoyed the Strapped and Tourist Sauce series from NLU, and their content is pretty good when they aren’t too deep into inside jokes and nicknames and all that 🐮 💩. (Had zero interest in the spring training Strapped.)

 

Not sure if those series have run their course or if anything new is coming. There is a good amount out there for foul weather watching.
