Looking at the loft, does this driver launch higher or lower than the regular Triple Diamond?

Anyone know how it launches compared to last year’s Paradym Triple Diamond?

I play 9 degrees in some heads and 10.5 in others. Trying to determine how this the TD Max might fit in.

i haven’t hit it yet.  But i plan on lofting up ir i need to which will also help fight the fade if there is any.

my local GG also is showing 2 in stock and i am looking to trade in a TD for the TDM.   how did you get $510 in trade though - i just checked the site and the darkspeed x is showing $220?

its also only showing $240 for the triple diamond im looking to trade in.  thoughts?

So i went into the Store. I asked right away if they were honoring the 2x trade.  He said yes, so i went to the car and brought in the DS X.   He went to s computer clicked on all the specs. i’m 99% certain he clicked on new for condition not average.   I had hit this club literally 5 times on course and zero range balls.  It didnt hsve plastic on it. But other than thar it was 9.99 condition.

So that likely accounted for the amount. I was thrilled. Its more than i paid for the club through the rep.

Worked just as you described for me this morning. Had a Smoke MAX D that is basically new — I was experimenting with the Bhatia fade setup — but I played the Paradym TD last year so the MAX TD is likely a more famiilar transition. Made it easy when GG gave me $279 X 2 for my trade and I paid $46 plus tax to switch drivers. They still had 1 TD MAX 9 degree left in Columbia, MD, but it likely will sell today. I don’t think there’s any question that Callaway will manufacture more of these. I don’t think it is a limited edition, just a smaller number in the first run to test interest.

LOL...Same store!   I think when I was there last night, there were either 3 or 4 TD Max all 9.0 with the Denali.  One might have been X Stiff not sure.  But for sure there were 2 Stiff, I got one and looks like you got one.

Now to try and find time to get out on the range this afternoon!

I bit the bullet and purchased a 9* at my local golf store, tired of waiting on the 8.5* ….

one range session and some on course testing has landed it in my bag. I have it turned down 1* and it gives me the same flight window as last years Paradym (8* turned up to 10*).

I tried the Smoke triple diamond and it did not beat out last years triple diamond…. The diamond max has. Dispersion was better without sacrificing distance.

Driver came in today.  I took it to the range to get a feel for it.  The fade bias is obvious.  It had a much higher flight than my LTDX, and that is using a low launch shaft as well.  I was wanting a higher launching head though.   Not sure how dramatic the distance change will be with regard to roll out.

Gaming 9 degree, and I will try to work with it on the neutral setting.  I hit 60 or so balls and had 0 hooks.  That has typically been my miss.  Toe shots were fine.  Hate that the ball mark doesn't show well on the face.  That was what I loved about the milled face Cobra used for so many years.  I was able to fade and draw the ball easily.

Sound/feel were great as well.  Sitting behind the ball, it looks great.  No issue with the footprint at all honestly.  I will find out more when I get it on the course, but overall I am happy with it so far.

Finally got an extended range session in today, and let me say, I'm surprised with the direction I went but the numbers and dispersion don't lie.  I've been playing a heavier driver shorter than standard for some time now.  The increased accuracy was well worth the trade-off of a few mph lost in swing speed.  So that's where I started with my TD Max.  Heavy weights in the head, 70g TX Diamana TB at 44".

First things first.  I've been wanting to play the Denali Blue for a while now, so I gave the club a chance, stock weights, stock Blue 60X.  Color me disappointed.  I love the Denali Black, the Blue, not so much.  I typically get along with blue profiles with low torque, but the Denali Blue seemed a bit loose for my liking.  I had some two way, spinny misses going on.  I'll be trading the Blue in with my Rogue for a Mini.

Back on topic...

So I went to the combo mentioned above.  I was extremely impressed with the dispersion of this head regardless of where I hit the face.  So seeing this, I decided to go to town testing different combos.  I have multiple weights and shafts, black, blue, long, short, heavy, light, and after multiple combos showing that same tight dispersion, I decided I'd give the club a chance at 45.5", much longer than what I've been playing in recent times.   I lost no accuracy and picked up significant distance.

So where did I settle?  Graphite Design VR 6X at 45.5", 9* turned up 1* to 10*, 10G weight in the front, 8G weight in the back.  Club seems so stable and I'm hitting bombs.  Spin and ball speed are in line with my Smoke TD, launch angle is much more favorable.  Clubhead is much more forgiving.  This club really wants to go straight, which makes it much easier to take one side of the course out of play when trying to move the ball.  Toe misses aren't quacking.  I can't wait to get out on the course.  I'm giddy, not gonna lie.  I LOVE this club.

I know akshay was in the max d for a bit before going back to his rogue. But can you elaborate what setting he had the max d at or what setting you had it ? Isn’t the max d much more upright than the other models ?

Anybody compare one to the G430 10k? Tempted to give one a go, but I’m not sure if I’ll miss the ease of the Ping…

Just from a physics standpoint the TD M has less MOI and will be arguably less stable (as a selling point of Ping Max heads).

AITD MAX  10.5° + UB6 AIMAX 16.5° + 21° + 24° + UB6+7+8 / FRGD TEC5-G + MODUS115 / JWS RW + MODUS120 / SPDRL-NCK+ CT 120

Yeah for sure. Hopefully someone can talk about both to see how much of a difference it is. I should probably be a good boy and keep my Ping either way.

It’s a little more upright, but the way to counter that is order it with the flat cog. That’s what I did. My miss tends to be a block high right so I was interested in avoiding that shot. But I’ve been working diligently on a more patient transition and that has been a more fundamental solution.

The article linked below goes into detail on various tour players hitting a fade with the MAX D. It is an excellent driver. Now, having tried the TD MAX I think it fits me better, but I could easily play the MAX D. It is very forgiving and not a hook machine at all. Easy to hit straight.

Read that article today actually. Thanks for your feedback. There’s an option thru callaway to order the max d in a flat setting?

3 rounds in on mine and loving it.  Replaced a Qi10LS which is a fine driver but the TD Max is better in my hands.  Fine tuning the shafts and trying to decide between Ventus Blue + and Denali Black.  Will need to get on a launch monitor to compare the numbers.  In any event, very happy that I pre-ordered.  For those waiting it will be worth the wait.
