Interesting PGAT stat

This thread is about PGAT winnings compared to Sheffler's caddie earnings.  If you want to expand it to Dubai, then we should also look at LIV winnings.  But that was not the original intent of the thread.

Great idea, how much money did Rory or Scheffler's caddie earn in LIV events?

That’s why McIlroy is going around saying the current system doesn’t work.  He and others “held the tour hostage” (his words IIRC) to arrange signature events so they could get more money…and it just didn’t work…for him.

So they need to press for a deal with outside interests…to give the fans what they want, which apparently is for McIlroy to get more money, or as he would probably put it, have the best players in the world compete against each other for high stakes…so that he can get more money.  He’s confident, at least.

Another nonsensical drive by post.

but am curious where you obtained this information

Scotty Scheffler's caddie has earned more money this year than Rory McIlroy.

That is an interesting stat.

Heres the article that answers all the other “What about….” questions.

****. Do a google search for the article, link removed****

Neither Scotty or Rory plays on the exhibition tour. But check back at the end of the year and compare Rory's PGAT earnings to Ted Scott's.

Rory was fine with all of it as long as his guaranteed nike money was rolling in .  He’s on very treacherous ground in my opinion now.  It’s fine to be greedy.  It’s not fine to openly talk about it as if it’s morally superior, AND that everyone else should agree or else “ I’ll take my ball and go home “. That’s how I see his latest statements…. “ if I can’t be as rich as I used to be , then I may go over here “.  Kind of proving what allot have said about his underachievement.   And I say all of that as a fan of his.  For now.

Seems like you’re making a bunch of rules that no one has to follow.

It's not interesting and you don't have to dig very deep to understand.

Scottie's played 7 events. His worst finish is a T17 and he's won two signature events. Had he put the mallet in the bag to start the year he may have won the Sentry and Waste Mgmt too.

Rory's played 5 events and his best finish is T19.

That's the whole story.

What the OP conveniently ignored was Rory's T2 and win to start the calendar year in Dubai. He did this intentionally because this post isn't about celebrating how good Scottie's been, he just wanted to take a dig at Rory.

I didn't ignore it at all.

Why is it so difficult to understand that the topic I started is VERY simple, has a narrow focus, and is 100% accurate?    There is no hidden meaning.  It's just to amplify Ted Scott's huge caddie earnings and have fun with stats.

do we actually know scotts percentage take at each tournament? what if he's on contract with a flat rate based on time with a performance bonus ;}

Sure. Why not say, "Based on a typical caddy cut of 10%, Ted Scott would be 48th on the PGAT money list! More than Finau, Rory, Adam Scott, Tommy Fleetwood, and Viktor Hovland!" Your original post didn't even give Ted Scott the dignity of having a name. Simply Scottie Scheffler's caddy.  It was nothing but a lame dig at Rory. Just own it.

I agree - he is doing all this very public inner wrestling - he really needs more unexpressed thoughts and if he has this moral compass he's talked about and around, among other things, then probably best not to sell any of that out to media.  If he ever sells out, we'll all know the size of the check when it happens. Never let anyone outside the family know what you are thinking, Rory and I haven't perceived this latest PIF talk as keeping his "enemies" closer, lol. But enough of Don Corleone and Sun Tzu.

Nope, no dig at all.  Try again.
