Got the SwingW scale setup and got the same 198g weight for my 10K head..maybe I just got a lighter head? Swingweight was different though..Seemed to be in line w/ what I was seeing on a much more expensive scale (Irons all came in around ~D2/D2+/D3 for PW, etc.) The G430 Max 10K head (45.25" TR Blue 6X) had a SW of D5.2 which is about what I expected. Will bring it with me next time I stop by my local builder and compare

Ping I think lists the head at 206g. That includes the adapter which is around 6g. So yours might be a gram or two lighter than normal but we’ll within normal

oem tolerances.

Kind of  in the same boat.  Had my best driving in years last year with the 430 Max.  Been kind of cold and windy here in the North East, but have demoed the 10K against my gamer and right now hard to tell if it's worth the upgrade.  Has a mile or two more ball speed and a tad less spin so not much in it.  Waiting for it to warm up a bit and the swing getting off of winter mode and will give it some more testing.

I texted my fitter who knows my swing and tendencies and why we landed on the G430. He's a straight shooter who I trust completely.  What he texted back made it clear the 10k is deserving the hype.  Like I said, this feels a whole lot like the G400/G400 Max release...

Our demo heads are 202G to 204G. I have done orders for lighter shell weight heads with 28G back weight and these heads came in at 198G and 199G.

I did it.  I’m where I want to be just a little more often and I like that I can count on it to deliver.  Another thing, for me, is I can take this off the deck much better than I could the max. It’s not even close the 10k is just a game changer there.  So yes, well worth the update for me.

I just did a full driver fitting this week, and I ended up being fit into the plain old G430 Max. The 10K spun quite a bit more for me, which is strange, and I lost quite a bit of distance. I tried multiple shafts in each, and it was pretty plain as day for me. My fitter said that I actually hit the middle of the club face quite consistently (which came as a bit of a shock to me, not a humble brag!), and the 10K tech helps mainly for off centre hits. I tried the Max, the 10K, the LST as well as the new Callaway, Taylormade, Cobra, and Titleist drivers. For me, the standard 430 Max was far and away the best, it was long and dead straight (the Titleist was maybe slightly longer, but it wasn't as consistently straight). I guess all you can do is hit them all and see the numbers for yourself.

I am going to stick with the 430 MAX for now and wait for the 440 MAX that will hopefully have 10K forgiveness and adjustable weights. I feel all the MAX models have a slight draw bias so I need the adjustable weights to help negate that somewhat. The 10K is great but every time I demo one I get a bad case of the lefts. With the 430 MAX I can put the weight in the fade position or as I am doing now, go "ANIMAL STYLE" (2 weights). When I have it set up like this the high toe miss is not so extreme and anything even close to middle just feels so solid. Hard to explain, but with the weight spread out it feels even more forgiving somehow even though I know it is probably not.

Not to mention I did not like how the 430 MAX face got shallower than the 400 MAX I was playing and the 430 MAX 10K is even shallower.

I guess few players are fans of the G425 drivers; but having tried all the G430's, my G425 Max holds it own distance-wise while being straighter.

It was the feel and the sound. That is it. Otherwise, the G425 Max was straight, forgiving and awesome.

I'd say there's every chance the face will stay this shallow for some time.

I just recently added 4g of hotmelt to my 425 Max and replaced the weight with a 4g lighter weight.  Sound is MUCH improved.  Driving is not....  😄

I'm not sure that's possible from what I've heard / read.  I believe that the 10k MOI limit is measured in a specific way - and if you move weights around - it may change the spec and make it non-conforming.  I'm NOT SURE here - but one of the podcasts I was listening to discussed this a bit (maybe the Fully Equipped pod?)
