Is there a difference between OG and private reserve in terms of performance?

Performance wise they are similar.  Mid launch and spin.  However, feel wise they differ in that the OG don't feel as smooth as private reserve, IMO.

Depends on what you're looking for with a change to graphite. I was sure that with my new set, I would go graphite to cut weight and take some impact off my wrists/elbows. After demoing lots of different shafts, I found the weight and feel I was looking for with a much cheaper steel shaft. I liked several graphite options, but not enough to pay the upcharge.

I found a really wide variation in feel, flex, and flight from different graphite iron shafts, even within the same family.

That said, I personally enjoyed the feel of Recoil and MMT Tapers, although I only tried them in the 95g and below versions.

Previously Played the MMT's and liked them but currently gaming the UST Dart V TSPX Concept Iron in 105G and love it.

Dart V is a solid shaft.   Might be more like the older Recoil Proto, maybe a bit more tip stiff vs standard Recoil Dart.

Defo hit a bunch of graphite options.  Many of them take advantage of graphites properties to make them bend differently than steel.

Haven't hit everything out there but to me, Recoils felt the most like a "normal" steel shaft.  Consistent loss of stiffness kinda like Modus 105 or maybe Ctaper lites.

I am thinking if I should try to do a fitting at club champion vs doing one with Titleist in order to get shaft options.

It depends on what you are looking for.
The Titleist fitting will give you the head and shaft, that Titleist offers, and that best fits you. Great if you want to play Titleist irons.

Club Champion if you want to know what head and shaft combo is best for you, from any OEM.
If you want to play Titleist, a Club Champion fitting will give you what shaft works best for you in a Titleist head, but it will be an expensive endeavor. You will surely be fit into a shaft not offered by Titleist. And if you buy from CC, you will pay for a complete set of irons, plus whatever shafts you buy, plus the build.

If you get the CC fitting, and source yourself, you have to buy the iron set or find a set of heads, the shafts, and the build.

Just curious, was it the .355 OG or .370 OG that  you were comparing to the private reserve?

.355 I believe.

Another vote for the Axioms, that said, I had SF i110cw X Flex and they performed great, heard great things about the MMTs as well, my friend loves his Recoils, plenty of options out there, just have to find which one fits your swing best and which one feels better, take care

And if memory serves, the private reserve only comes a in parallel tip - single length blanks?   At least I've never seen them in taper tip.

Don't get me wrong - I don't know, I never touched a PR.  But the thought crossed my mind - could it be you were just feeling the difference between parallel and taper profiles instead of a different profile specific to the PR?

Loving the Steelfiber i95 S, came from TT DG 120 X100 and the feel is astonishingly similar.
Never going back. The pain relief in my joints is immense. They feel like Dynamic Gold and have noticeably more kick without being too long or ballooning.
A modern classic, great shaft.

So I never been to club champion so have no idea how they work. I have had fittings in the past, but never there. The only thing that I thought would be nice is that they have T150, mp245 and the 0317T's. I did do a PXG fitting with the 0317T's and they said that the steel fiber 110 would be the shaft for me in that head, but haven't been able to try any of the other heads in that shaft. The Team Titleist fitting costs $100 which is why I was not sure if I should go to club champion.

just fit into MMT 105TX this morning over a few options listed here (axioms, KBS TGI, dart).  I wasn't sure if the steel mesh core was going to be that big of a deal... and can't say 100% that was reason why the MMTs felt and performed so well, but the MMTs were far and away winners in feel and performance.

Great shafts—enjoy. And as noted above, appreciate the relief on your joints at the same time.

Got back into golf just two years ago and first set was steel half a season later i had to make the switch due to previous wrist and elbow injuries and there's no looking back. I've hit both steelfiber 110's and currently have recoil 110's. Very happy with the feel and lack of excess pain i was having. If you wana switch do an actual fitting and test as many as you can to see what feel fits you most.

Agree.  I tested KBS TGI and Dart, and played Steelfiber.

I give MCA credit for weaving Stainless Steel into mid-to-tip section of Tensei and MMT.  I attribute that inclusion to why they are easy to swing weight and allow limited vibrations to talk to my hands.

When I left SF i110cw, I played MMT 125S for some time, before moving to lighter weight composite.  I played 85S & 95S  but they were too light, so currently playing MMT 105S.  One thing is apparent, MMT is smoother than Steelfiber i110cw that I played for +/- 2yrs after leaving a 15+ year run with PX 6.0.

Loving MMT in 65 gram. Had to purchase in .370 and ream some forged  Mizuno heads to fit . Would not recommend reaming harder cast heads..been there done that with some titleist ap heads…not fun lol.

Another set I built with Aldila NV iron shafts were very affordable and work great..not as nice or smooth feeling as the MMT but a cheaper option.

the recoil shafts feel nice too, maybe not as smooth as the MMT in my hands…

cheers
