Cancer is merciless.  Doesn't matter who or how old. 50 is too young and that was the age my sister-in-law was taken.  Condolences to her family.

It was cancer? Article I read didn't list cause although I think I remember a report from a couple years ago indicating she was fighting cancer. Always liked her on TGC and thought she did a credible job in that Bobby Jones movie. RIP, Steph.

Pretty sure she didn't have a husband or children. Survivors are reported as parents and sister.

I always liked her, great on Big Break. My condolences.

I hadn't heard her name in a long time, but this is terrible.  Way too young.

Sad to hear the news especially at a young age. The Big Break was fodder for debate in terms of its realism or lack thereof but it did introduce us to interesting characters and situations and Stephanie & Tom (and others) always played it straight and tried to keep it interesting and dramatic.

Just saw this...terrible news.

 

I posted something on another thread about bringing back 'Big Break' and it got a good response. I'm sure much of that was because she was such a great host.

 

I saw her at a tournament years ago and she was even more lovely in person if that's possible. She talked to everyone and was very outgoing.

Its possible. Red headed women are always at the top of the lovely list.
