Oh, and I love Pinehurst #2, live just 45 minutes away. It's a terrific golf course when set up reasonably.

It's what they have to do because equipment has outrun the courses.  Go back to balata and persimmons for pros and they don't have to do this.  That being said big Pat Cantlay seems to be doing just fine.

I know it's TV and it probably (never been) doesn't do it justice, but Pinehurst #2 seems about as visually interesting as Woodley Lakes.
