On the one hand, I’m about to test a TP so can’t wait to hit this!!
 

But on the other, damn does GD make ugly shafts now. The original Tour AD were some of the best (maybe *literally* the best) looking shafts on the market. I miss a white/silver top section and a color on bottom…not the same color throughout (HD, XC), not a weird color fade (UB), not a color up top (VF, CQ), not matte paint (IZ, VR). The TP is the only ‘new logo’ shaft that hasn’t missed the mark aesthetically imo (which we all know is more important than how it plays 😂).

I'm feel the opposite of you.  Not a fan of the paint job of the older GD models.  Love the color fade of the UB.  HD is so simple with the white and blue it's quite lovely in person and the VF is bad a** with the black on red.

Ahahaha different shafts for different…ehh nevermind. But that’s funny - I still wish more shaft companies had a custom paint program. It’s clear they can do so relatively easily for the limited editions that get released (or the black versions of Tour AD shafts). I understand it could create model confusion but there’s probably a decent market for custom color schemes just on this forum…or at least a couple options per shaft model

Valid point - Accra has a custom program and I feel like it adds zero confusion to what they have going on.

Thanks for directing me here! Excited to follow this one - TP was my gamer for years but finally found a way to make friends with a TR Black. Need to try the XC or VF to get into their lower launch ones after a decade plus in the DI.

I was in the DI for 5 years.  Never liked the feel but I tried to make it work.  Now in the VF and I absolutely love it.  Very linear and stable enough with that signature smooth GD feel.  XC was good as well but just a touch too soft in the handle.  I definitely recommend testing the VF and XC.

Are you in VF for driver and fairway?  I am there in fairway and have been considering for driver.

No, just driver.  I've been trying to get ahold of an 8TX but it's tour only.  GD supposedly safe guards their heavier TX shafts and only distributes them to tour pros.

Right on.  I have an 8X in mine… have not seen the VF 8TX in the wild.  Maybe it will come!

TP was is such an underrated shaft, played it for years before Ventus TR came along. If they made a new version with similar feel but a slightly more stable tip section, that would be a winner.

Zander Lombard has one in his 3 metal.  I need to find the warehouse(s) where GD stock pile their tour only shafts and raid it!!!  LOL.
