Do you take your glove off to putt? [POLL]

I always take my glove off to putt and chip. I feel like it gives me a little better feel.

While growing up playing in sunny Kansas I always had a horrible "farmers tan", the last thing I wanted was a butt white left hand to go along with the rest of my clothed area's. I got in the habit of taking the glove off between all shots that required any real walk. That habit continues today.... along with heavy sunscreen.

I take mine off to putt. I also take my glove off between every shot when I'm walking. Something about walking the course and feeling the wind/air on one hand and not on the other strikes me as strange, so I remove it. When riding I don't have as much time so I usually don't.

I was a "no" but after a couple rounds this year, I'm changing to a "yes". I think all that time putting on my carpet this winter got me used to putting without a glove. It feels weird to me now.

part of my routine is to take my glove off after each shot.. I then put it on, while figuring my next shot out.

I leave it off for most short shots except from the bunker.

however, if I am playing "speed up golf, as someone is waiting on us" with my son.. glove stays on, but i dont really put out all the way...

Always take the glove off when putting. For everything else, it could be on or off, depending on how I feel. Could play a whole round without a glove.

I just started doing this as well, used to just take it off for putting. I am considdering going gloveless on the course, but using one at the range. It just feels more natural.

I hate the feeling of a glove on while putting. I feel like I'm losing the touch and feel that goes into the shot. In fact, I also take it of for short pitches around the green.

For my shots from 70 in, my glove is off because i need that extra feel. But other than that,pitching,chipping,and putting i have my glove on

I take my glove off after every shot, and leave it off once I get to the green. It's far too hot and humid here to do otherwise. It would be like putting with a wet paper bag on your hands!

Anything on or around the green I take my glove off. I like being able to completely feel the grip in my hand.

IMO theres no reason for a glove for chips or putts. Its not like such a small stroke will have any burden on your hands. Plus it gives you a better feel for the club

I use a glove to get a better grip on the club while swinging, so I don't have to wear a glove to putt with b/c I doubt I'm going to be swinging the putter that hard. (well, not yet anyway)

I always remove my glove for putts and short chips - just like the additional feel it provides. For full swing shots I like the "locked in" feel in my grip with the glove on.

I'm sure someone has mentioned it previously, but, Nicklaus and John Daly putt with gloves on.

I take my glove off for putts because I was told you were supposed to. To be honest, I've putted with it on and off and can barely tell the difference

I chip and putt without a glove. Just like the extra feel. I know some golfers that have recently started hitting full shots without gloves. I just put Winn dritac grips on my irons and they feel so good I might try going without gloves on full shots. I think at this point the glove is more psychological than anything else.

Always when I putt. I have begun to remove my glove when I chip and/or pitch as well. In the past three years I have gone from the Tommy "Two Gloves" Gainey approach to at times not wearing a glove at all. I have been working with an instructor to lighten my grip pressure. I can't believe the difference this makes to my overall performance (especially in my short game).
