Er.......I paid $140 to get back a driver I traded in. Original cost of that driver: $0 which I got in the Callaway-Golfsmith Mickelson Masters win. Yeah, I repeat, I spent $140 on my free driver. So, right there I start off shooting myself in the foot.

I would say you will find that about 85% of WRX has at least $1k invested in their bag given our nature of the hoing life! I'll just say that I'm nearly at $1k with just my irons...darn upcharge for Project X!

Well I know I have well over a grand - so I will do the math here and get sick to my stomach - well, maybe not since I am really happy with my set up and don't plan on any changes in the coming year - at least - finally came to the conculsion that no matter what I spend I am not getting below a 10 handicap with the limited play and practice I have time for these days with all the travel in my job and then 2 little boys at home that I would rather spend time with when I am home rather than run to the range....so now it is just a round of golf here and there - and I take the scores I post...

My entire bag cost less than $500 when it was bought in 2000, but it's all HiPPO clubs and not fitted to me at all. At the least I think the shafts need to be shortened by half an inch on all the clubs minimum.

I feel like that's cheating though, since I'm wanting to upgrade the entire thing.

I figured it up and only paying retail for my iron set and wedges I came up with about $1500. This doesn't even mention balls, shoes, bag, cart, GREEN FEES, and lessons. I'm having to sell off my half-stack guitar amp and at this rate, possibly a kidney.
