GX this is based on trends over here in the Philippines. It's a small market.

1) This year, which shaft brand do you believe has been the most popular on the PGA Tour?

06....Diamana

2) What golf shaft brand is the hottest at retail?

In the Philippines the NV and NVS (I know we are a little behind)

3) Which shaft brand would you like to see most in an OEM head?

Graphite Design and my current gamer a Graman Limey (with toned down colors)

4) In your opinion, what are the top shaft companies (in order of position)?

Fuji

GD

Aldila

UST

Mitsubishi

5) Do you buy a shaft based on price?

Every time

6) Which category best describes your spending habits on golf shafts (less than $100, $150-175 range, or more than $200)?

per shaft, generally the higher end ones $200 or so

but I buy the lower end ones as pulls to experiment

7) What shaft is for players seeking a higher launch?

YS6

Graman UL640

671

8) What shaft is for players seeking a lower launch?

Vista Tour

Diamana Blueboard

Evolution

9) Any other comments/suggestions?

I want more chrome colored shafts like the Vista Tour.

Shafts should come pre spined. Even though it adds costs, the added performance benefits ( I don't care what the OEMs say there is a benefit) will have the customer coming back for more.

Longer PTS for fine tuning flex and trajectory. 5" would be good.

1) This year, which shaft brand do you believe has been the most popular on the PGA Tour?

Assuming your talking about woods.... Fujikura

2) What golf shaft brand is the hottest at retail?

Fujikura ... average consumers are just getting to know the name now

3) Which shaft brand would you like to see most in an OEM head?

UST, I liked the original proforce and the V2 is even better!

4) In your opinion, what are the top shaft companies (in order of position)?

Most people don't even have a clue what shaft they are playing so I'll go by OEM use.

1. Fujikura

2. Mistubishi

3. Graphite Design

4. UST

5) Do you buy a shaft based on price?

Yes

6) Which category best describes your spending habits on golf shafts (less than $100, $150-175 range, or more than $200)?

I'll only spend as much as I need to. I can usually find something decent for less than $200

7) What shaft is for players seeking a higher launch?

Not really in the market so I haven't been keeping up with the specs, but you want a soft tip, low kick

8) What shaft is for players seeking a lower launch?

Like I said not really up on the specs, but stiff tip high kick

9) Any other comments/suggestions?

There aren't any launch monitors in my area so I have to buy shafts based on feel and ball flight. I won't buy a shaft unless I can test it. I'd really like see what all this hype is about this Matrix shafts... maybe a demo like accuflex!... The Callaway FT-3 demo system is probably the best innovation in golf I've seen.

PLEASE MAKE SHAFTS IN AN ALTERNATE COLOR!

Many times I like a shaft, but can't stand the color (NV for example). It would be refreshing if the shafts companies would offer their shafts in basic black for those that do not want thier golf clubs to look like a roll of life savers.

Wow, looks like we need to do some work... :cheesy:

Thanks to all that gave us a vote of confidence in many areas, and yes we are working hard to be seen in more OEM heads (I think this is where more of the AccuFLEX quality will get to shine, so the masses will see us as a top rated shaft co.)

I think being so "deep" into the clubmakers market, and less in the "Mass market" of the OEM's has not given us the mass appeal yet....

We are working on getting those goals accomplished, because we know we have great quality, leading technology, a variety to fit everyone, fair prices, and tour proven product....

Thanks for all who participated in this topic.

If there is anything we can do to improve for you the customer, please let us know!

Mitusbishi Rayon----->Bassara or Diamana

and not a deal where Mitusbishi specially makes a shaft for Nike, but more the real deal

4) In your opinion, what are the top shaft companies (in order of position)?

Fujikura

Mitusbishi Rayon

Aldila

Grafalloy

Graphite Design

5) Do you buy a shaft based on price?

Yes, but if I can justify the price then sometimes price isn't an object.

6) Which category best describes your spending habits on golf shafts (less than $100, $150-175 range, or more than $200)? less than 100 (see above)

7) What shaft is for players seeking a higher launch? NVS

8) What shaft is for players seeking a lower launch? NV

9) Any other comments/suggestions.

I agree totally with short sticks, but I'll expand on it, how about charging a little extra to the buyer for a variety of colors. For example, say the buyer doesn't like the Green NV, but would perfer a neon blue or yellow, it would make sense for the company to offer this option at an extra charge. This probably wouldn't cost effective to the company, but at least you'd have choices. I'm a strong believer in looks vs. performance.

Opti-fit would be great if all OEM companies would participate. They need to go ahead and pay royalties to Callaway and adopt this technology. Also extend the offering for FAIRWAY WOODS, HYBRIDS, AND IRONS (if possible).

Great site :cheesy: , keep up the good work... my I suggest members posting their INDEXES, and their style of play in their signatures so readers have an idea of the type of player they are getting feedback from. I know it's on their honor, but that's what this site is all about...Right?!
