I sent Discount Dan's an email requesting a quote on PING G20's. I received an answer in less than two hours. I then called them and ordered the irons. It was an amazing, very pleasurable experience. Talking to a real person who was extremely knowledgeable about golf equipment was a real pleasure. I cannot say enough about these guys.

I learned about Discount Dan's on this board a few years ago and my experience has been fantastic. They offer fantastic customer service, extraordinary pricing, and lightning fast shipping (everything I've gotten has come drop shipped from the manufacturer). Almost everything in my bag is from them.... including my new G20 irons that were waiting for me when I got home last Friday!!!

Why don't they have prices on the website?
Most items I look at they say call.
Other companies sell the same products and they show a discount price.
I would think they would have more sales if they show their "low" prices.

Just wondering.....

Because their prices are probably under the threshold for being "too low" as mandated by the manufacturer. Mfgr's take price integrity VERY seriously. I getting in to trouble with New Era back when I was a merchandising director with a minor league team when I discounted some REALLY old hats pretty heavily. They made me raise the price or threatened to revoke our deal with them. Kinda crazy, but I do get it.

Like others have said - it's worth the quick call or email. They're not pushy, they just give a very matter of fact quote, and the price almost assuredly will be lower than anyone else's.

+1 Ordered a replacement club for my G15's this summer. Got an email quote back with a few hours and my club was on my doorstep a few days thereafter. Great prices and quick service, can't ask for anything else.

They do accept paypal, but they charge you an extra 3% to cover the paypal fees.

so this is a legit golf store? if I had come upon that site myself I would have thought it was another site selling knockoff items. most of those sites make you call in for the price.

and do they sell used items? looking for some mizuno 62's!

As legit as they come. And with the last two emails I have sent them with pricing inquires, I have gotten a response within an hour. In the case of yesterday...it was less than 10 minutes.

Truth be known, a lot of big time companies have prices that retailers are allowed to sell products at, but they cannot advertise the price openly on the websites.

I've ordered two things through Discount Dans - a G15 driver and a Scotty Cameron putter. Both were well under 'retail' and both shipped directly from the manufacturer - Ping in Phoenix and the SC came from Vista, CA (basically Carlsbad).

I tried to order a shaft for a 910 Hybrid, was quoted a reasonable price (given the upcharge to buy it is $75 per TGW). Placed the order. Get an email the next day (mind you I was quoted the price the same day I ordered) and they came back and apologized but the price was now almost [b]95% HIGHER[/b] than what they had quoted me. Didnt offer to do anything, just that "Titleist raised their prices, sorry, we quoted you the wrong price". I realize they arent going to just eat it, nor do I expect them to (at least not all of it), but the new price of the shaft was only $50 less than buying the whole club, with wrench, headcover etc, so it makes no sense to me.

Seems like a bad business practice to make an offer for sale (the quote) then not fulfill the order when someone accepts and tries to pay. Needless to say, I am a bit disappointed given my previous success ordering with them, but will surely question if I want to deal with them in the future. If others have success ordering 910 shafts, please let me know.

I just had my first transaction with Discount Dan's and it went very well. I got my club at a great price and it actually arrived [b][u]sooner[/u][/b] than what they said. I had sent an email and asked for a quote and they responded about an hour later. I was very happy doing business with them and they have won a customer.

Zombie thread resurrection... but I wanted to post recommending discountdans. Custom wedge order very simple, prompt response to any question, very nice people and my order arrived quicker than expected exactly as ordered with all the little adjustments/customizations I requested.
