As a fan of various types of motorpsort, I have no issue regarding what graphics are on the outside. How it works, how it performs, is all that matters.

Sole seems very rocker-ish to me more like the R11 vs the R11s, which for me at a 45" length sat very much on the back 1/3 of the sole, or to upright.

I did not see the adjustability for lies mentioned, but I think I heard there was a bunch of more upright positions, with little flat options....is this true?

the information i have has multiple OBAN shafts - no prototype - with the kiyoshi white being the most expensive upcharge (period)... which would put it right around the number you mentioned.

I'm still stuck on this face angle thing ( not hating, just some genuine interest in this question, as I fight alignment issues constantly). So, if a wood looks like its visually square, but is actually open, won't people have a tendency to hit pushes all day (assuming no compensations). Is it not possible to make a head that is square and that looks square?

How does TM measure this, by the paint break on the crown relative to the actual face angle?

My only problem with this release is how much TaylorMade is bashing [i][color=#000000][b]ITS OWN[/b][/color][/i] R11S. If it was so bad, was TM lying to golfers in the original R11s ads saying how much better it was?

For a company that comes out and says 80% of the golfers already have the wrong loft giving them a club with 168 combinations seems like it's going to do more harm than good unless they get properly fitted by someone who knows the club and every little tweak inside and out.

I've been a TaylorMade fan for a while. Whole bag aside from an Anser hybrid and wedges are TaylorMade. Never bought into the cool aid of the white driver head giving you an advantage but the Rocketballz driver worked better for me than anything else I tried so I got it. Now I'm seriously looking at Ping or Callaway for a driver if I go to replace it because none of the new Taylor Made offerings appeal to me at all.

Found out sound was pattern after the R580 per TM......weight slugs positioned differently lower spin and launch.....Linear Alignment Lines is the name of the paint scheme; so there is science behind it..

[/quote]Cool, my opinions are just that and for the record I'm not a TM hater at all, I've gamed many products over the years. I occasionally do a Editors Review as well so I try very hard to maintain no bias either way but on this one I do indeed have a very real concerns that the consumer is being feed a line of marketing hype and honestly I do not think this technology is even sound unless somebody can answer my ten million questions. To read in another post that 3 actual lofts are being offered on Tour reinforces my hypothesis that one size doesn't fit all and comes with limitations. It also insights me to read comments from TM about previous model limitations only to hypnotize the average consumer into believing that hard earned money spent LAST SEASON and the season prior is somehow lame duck not to mention comments about mass percentages of consumers somehow improperly fit which in my mind INCLUDES there own products. OK rants over and feel like I've adequitely postioned my arguments now I would suggest WE BOTH step aside and allow other members to offer there input...BB (PS, if that was truly the standing joke then that too is in VERY bad form)

I began to wonder (in a light-hearted way) about a year ago if the guys at TaylorMade had decided to see just how ridiculous they could make things and how many people would fall for it. You know, like just for a laugh....the bigger the lie mantra. A year on I am more convinced that that is a far more likely scenario than I had dared think at first.

They are turning golf into a freak show and banking on most people's lack of awareness of lofts/lengths et al and laughing all the way home. I really hope the other OEMs don't get dragged any deeper into the same pit as they already have by the marketing success of this lot but I fear that it's largely inevitable.

Question for all of you....

I noticed on the TMAG website you can customize your driver when pre-ordering the R1 or RBZ stage 2 and get the stock "made for" RIP ALDILA PHENOM in the RBZ Stage 2 or Rocketfuel in the R1. I know this has been an option before, but what advantage would this give? Feel?....Just wondering since TMAG says that each shaft was "made for" the specs of each driver head.

you seem to be miss understanding me. i wasnt arguing with you, nor was i mocking you. im glad you have an opinion and im glad you voiced it. "if they hate it, it will sell" essentially means. Taylormade is going to make a driver, then they are going to [b]turn it up to 11[/b]. and if doesnt rattle some feathers then they didnt do it right. thats all. nothing i do is meant to be in bad taste. its just miss interpreted that way since its only written in text and without emphasis. i dont know you, i would never insult you.
