And I Really like Rory, and was hoping he would really set himself apart from everyone else in the world to be the #1 Golfer and #1 Good face for the tour. Nike gear is just as good as anyone else's. have they had some Missteps (dymo, the original woods) yes of course they have. What company hasn't though

Could these quite possible be the so to be released 2013 wedge line up? I believe there were pics floating around somewhere on the site.

I guess it's possible, although I think all the new wedges are X3X versions, with the X3X stamping.

Historically with other brands, PGA Tour players playing the more forgiving driver heads is pretty commonplace. Take Ping players choosing the G15 or G20 over the i15 and i20 or TaylorMade staffers using the SuperTri over the Superdeep. About the only exception is that players used the 910 D3 as much if not more than the 910 D2.

Probably has something to do with playing for millions of dollars; even though they are the best golfers in the world they want to know that theres still a little forgiveness in their driver coming down the back 9 on Sunday so if they get tight and make a bad swing at the ball they will be in the second cut, not O.B..

The first vr wedges were awesome, some of the best I've played. So not surprised tour staff is still using them. ie the sq fw woods. Have not hit the newer x3x versions but herd they are just as good. Only a few hours til we get the official release!

After hitting both drivers a month ago or so, I decided I liked the performance model better. I didn't want that to be the case but the tour covert is the lowest spinning driver I have ever hit. I was losing carry distance and didn't like the ball flight.

Perhaps since the Coverts are more forgiving, ie perimeter weighting, he prefers his FW (like his irons which are blades) to have less of that for better ball control/movement.

Yes, but I would not be surprised if RMs fwys are tweaked closer to the 13.5/17 lofts that he is use to playing with.
