Like the picture Chief! What branch of the USN are you in? I'm a police officer now in the UK, but I'm an ex Royal Navy bod... Just curious.

 

Seabee's, the sea going Navy calls us engineers dirt sailors, seems we work more for the Marine Corps and SOCOM units more than the blue water Navy these days though :)

When it became clear I'd never make Admiral (or Lieutenant Commander for that matter) I jumped ship and became a cop.

 

With hindsight I reckon my navy days were the best ones so far...

The Citadel, a military college in Charleston, SC, has a nickname from its students and alumni of El Cid.

 

I graduated there in 1993, so hence, ElCid93.

 

This is quite common for Citadel graduates.

I played in a Babe Ruth baseball league about 2 years ago, now I'm playing school ball. But, back in the ruth league, I was a home run hitter, and I'm italian. So, my coach gave me the name "The Italian Stallion." He was Italian too, so his accent made it sound all the better.

We just buried my 84 year old uncle that did some of the dirty work on Iwo Jima so that subdivision of the Navy could get all the glory. I was an airdale in the nam era.

Or you could say that Santa Claus is named after me (my name).

I'm from Denmark which is situated in the northern Europe in between Germany and Sweden.

 

Santa Claus is named after a dutch (an angel from Holland - the Netherlands, which is situated west of Germany) angel called 'Saint Claus' and therefore Santa is named after me, not the other way around :D

It was kind of a fluke and lack of orignality. Several years ago, I was on EBAY and saw auction about to end on a Driver I just had to have..by the way that was about 17 drivers ago (cool) Anyway, I wasn't a member so I had to create a name quickly. I live in Maryland, and love all sports. I soon came to regret it as obviously people thought I was a MD Terp and Balt. Raven fan. While I don't hate the Terps, I have been a diehard UNC fan for over 20 years. Then when I went to register for a few more sites, it was just easier to keep a user name and password I already knew, We ALL have way TOO many passwords to remember now days. If you're still reading this at this point, I'm sorry...it's a pretty boring story.

Every time he hit a poor shot (not not often, unfortunately) he would chastise himself by yelling "oh wayneebaby!!" I talked to my teammates on AIM a lot so I decided to make wayneebaby my name. If you knew our coach, you'd think it was pretty funny, haha.

I have always had Labs...great family dogs, good disposition, playful, loyal and good with kids. I have two currently, one black & one yellow. They are part of the family. The yellow, (Otis), is the baby. He was one of a litter of twelve from our black lab (Sadie).

That's funny. I thought I had plenty of SISU in high school when I challenged a Finnish exchange student to a drinking contest. Long story short....I lost and puked but not necessarily in that order. Apparently he'd been drinking since THE WOMB! Good ole Jarko! I still can't look at a Finnish hockey jersey without feeling nauseous. That's a lesson to you American kids. never challenge foreign exchange students to drinking contests. You will lose!

I don't really know about that, I think someone said it and it stuck. We were a bunch of kids that had a really good time.
