Just because a driver says "9.0" on it, doesn't mean that it's actually 9 degrees... the digital loft on that thing may be higher than that. Also, the adjustable hosel on that club allows you to raise the loft by 1.50 degrees, if you want. The photo doesn't exactly show what setting it's at, so it could be jacked up to 10.5.

Plus it was really wet at Bay Hill... he could have had a 10.5 degree driver in the bag at the time he was interviewed, to get more carry because the ball wasn't rolling out in the fairway, then switched to a 9 degree for the firm fairways in Texas. I actually thought it was great to hear a pro try to get the word out that the vast majority of amateurs don't play enough loft on their driver.

Sorry... I don't want to be "that guy" but, with so many unknown variables at play, it seems rather foolish to accuse someone of being a liar.

I think I've seen him on the range with an Adams hybrid. Probably swaps it out for the 2 iron.

Charlie is a really nice guy. I met him at THE FARMERS and he was very gracious to the volunteers in his group even though he was playing bad that day. Hits the ball very far and straight with his long irons. Definitely cheering for him to have a great year.

The Cleveland MTs (his 2 - 3 - 4 irons) are hollow. Kinda like mini-hybrids.

When Davis Love III played Ping Eye 2s he carried a Cleveland driver and all Ping irons.

Watched him play at the Shell last weekend - absolutely booms the ball. Crazy distances and lines that almost noone else takes.
