It was an great game to watch. I like matching up with Georgia. Overall today, the Big Ten (Neb, Wisc, Iowa) played pretty well against the SEC (UGA, USC, LSU). I wish we both had our starting QBs at 100% health.

Picked up a Taylormade Tour Issue Raw ATV 60. I think I am going to throw a KBS Tour S or X (soft-stepped). I really like this head and the finish. Also, the sole grind looks a little different. It has a little more pronounced leading and trailing edge grinds than the retail model.

Ended up getting a KBS Wedge X put in the new wedge. Got the exact same specs as my current ATV 60 KBS Tour X, and I'm excited to try the head-to-head.

This weekend, I am going to give Trackman Combine a run. I haven't done it before, but it looks like a great learning tool, is fun, and only costs $25! Of course it is indoor considering this Midwest weather, but it is better than nothing.

Those wedges look nice. Once I get some time with my RocketBladez I might give those a run. But that is a lot of TM stuff in my bag. Where are you doing the Trackman Combine at?

I don't need something with more spin or feel, I just want something that will help me flight my shorter wedge shots just a little. I think it will fit the bill, and if not, it is a cheap experiment.

My best friend and roommate from law school just called me. He just got settled into his new life in Hutchinson, KS. His firm took him out for lunch today ... at Prairie Dunes. They informed him the firm had a corporate membership and he was welcome to host guests.

Did the Trackman combine for the first time. Put up a solid 75.7 despite a popped up driver and chunked 6i. I need to work on 60 yard wedges and driver.

Also got to compare the KBS Tour X and KBS Wedge X head-to-head with the same specs. It is a little firmer but has same great feel. 1-2 degree lower launch and same spin with the new Wedge shaft. It will stay in the bag.

I read somewhere that the average combine score for PGA tour pros was around an 82. Nice score you put up there!

Nice score. Wish I had some place to do that sounds like fun although I would hate for it to ruin the little bit of confidence I have left lol. I have read three mental game books lately and would have to read three more.

After my Trackman Combine, I'm seriously considering changing my bag setup. I don't know if 4 wedges are necessary, and I might benefit from rearranging my gaps between 5i and 3W. I feel pretty comfortable with my 60 up to 90-100 yards. PW is usually 135ish. I think I might just go 47-53-60 with approximate yardages of 135-115-95. This will allow me to get some tighter yardages in the other end of the bag.

Careful with having 7 deg gaps though. Depends on diff in shaft lengths a bit too. Something to talk about.

I told Tembolo I would post my Trackman Combine, and I'm a man of my word.

As you can see, I chunked a 6i and popped up a driver.

I was a little stiff and hadn't swung a club in a few months, but I felt like some of the distances were a little off. I had to adjust on most distances. My last Trackman showed 114 with the driver. I'll get back there, I'm not worried, but I do need to work on controlling it.

60 yards - 60 degree wedge
70 yards - 60 degree wedge
80 yards - 60 degree wedge
90 yards - 60 degree wedge
100 yards - 60 degree wedge
120 yards - 52 degree wedge
140 yards - 9 iron
160 yards - 8 iron
180 yards - 6 iron

All in all, I'm pretty happy. I plan to return every two months, track my results, and work a little bit extra on my weaknesses.

I gave the Srixon ZStar XV a run today over a few holes on my lunch. First impression, it is VERY stable in crosswinds. I was impressed.
