Titleist Vokey 60M SM4 - Tour Release Only??

Can someone fill me in on the details of this wedge? I have been told that it came from the tour van (by a Titleist Rep). There is not an laser etched serial #. The serial number is stamped and is only four digits - 2UXX (XX = 2 other numbers)

 

It also has a Dynamic Gold Tour Issue shaft.

Nice looking wedge! Of the original "special grinds" I have seen a few M and V grinds with conforming grooves but never retail. Still waiting to find a P grind with CC grooves. Man that would be sweet.

There is a standard SM4 60-10 M Grind.

I saw that, just wasn't sure as the markings on this are completely different tahn retail and the serail number is not etched.

This is different from the one available on Vokey.com. The one the OP has is definitely tour issue.

Wedgeworks offers the TVD-M with SM4 CC grooves (I have one) but the custom stamping options do not include the "Tour saw" with the Spin Milled and SM4 text as pictured above, just a plain Tour saw with no text. At least, its not on their site.

Edit - Didn't realize it wasn't a TVD. Sorry.

TVD is different to the M grind... All be it not much, tvd has a thinner sole.

Nice looking wedge! I have had both 60 versions when they were available through vokey.com Wedgeworks. They are great and very simliar as someone said. I think the Wedgeworks offerings felt softer than the retail M grinds on the SM4 but that maybe just me. Vokey.com says that they would be the same. For me the TVD 60 is a little easier to hit than 60 M

From what I know tour issue vokey wedges have hand stamped serial numbers

It's probably tour issue. You can buy a 60M from VokeyWedgeWorks but I haven't seen one with the SM4 symbol on it like yours and the serial number is different. Yours is also satin and the wedge I bought from Vokey is chrome. The SM4 grooves were designed to be conforming to my knowledge so you should be good there. Nice wedge.

It's definantly tour issue and is nothing that was a release. Call Titleist and they will probably tell you exactly what it is.
