He had a decent crowd of TMag brass watching his fitting and giggling when he crushed one.

When we played La Costa I hit a drive in the 275-280 yd range and he was a good 10-15 yds past me. When we pulled up to my ball he was like "you almost got me". I had to remind him he hit a 5 wood. From 230 out he was hitting a 5 iron into a par 5 and landed it on the back of the green. Thats a 3 wood for me and usually just means i'm laying up.

I think he had a few at the Kingdom in the 315-320 range. Don't let Sean2 fool you! He runs at the ball Happy Gilmore style and lets out a Captain Caveman-like call upon contact. The cover of the ball actually fuses to the club face. It's really a sight to see!

Serious question to the big hitters from a shorter knocker. I drive it 280-290, but occasionally (5-10 times a year) I'll get an extra 20-30 yards with just right timing.

Can this be harnessed and repeayed on command? Any stories from you guys about suddenly gaining yards?

Have you ever put impact tape on your driver during a range session? Every once in a great while I'll hit the sweet spot and notice the ball will fly further.

I hate how long off the tee you are. Although I will say being the short hitter in the group certainly made my round a lot more relaxing.

280-290 is shorter among the people I play with in qualifiers and against tour/college player distances with driver. I want to believe I can do something differently in my swing to keep up with accuracy. Also I'm talking in season summer distances including roll.

That's too obvious!

I will try that and see if contact is the issue. I've been on launch monitors before and my swing speed seems reasobable given my yardages, though.

Thrill house when healthy used to be stupid long. 6'6" 320 ish with long arms. 2 iron 2 iron onto 10 at wigwam gold with me at gateway event. It's 660! We were at the front of the back box so "only" 645 maybe. I looke at him sideways and said "dude you're going to blow your engine if you redline it like that all day." We'd just met and he looked at me like I was an idiot. Who's laughing now chiropractor boy?!!

Looks like he caresses it now at 115. Back injuries suck.
