There is guy at our facility Jeff who won the RE/MAX senior long drive last fall. I sometimes hit balls next to him when he's practicing. You talk about LONG. :-)

I feel utterly inadequate. One day I looked at the guy on the other side of me (who I knew), and said, "Why bother?" We both laughed.

I wish my buddies were members to vouch for me. Played 9 today, used driver 3 times. 281, 292, and 302. Would of got more out of the 302, but that one drew right into the rough. Titleist 975j with stock stiff shaft. 115-120 mph swing. Have a couple l5vs with xstiff shafts but last time I was out my shaft broke at the ferrule.

Get that driver updated and fitted because a true 115-120ss could be poking it out a little farther.

Lol. True. I do have a true 115-120 as read on a trackman and a few LMs, but Im broke. The Titleist was handed down to me from my grandpa. My goal is to get fitted and new driver this winter. I just started golfing last June so Im working on building a good set of clubs I suppose.

Don't necessarily need to see the ball. You can tell big hitters on video by seeing the swing and hearing the ball. The speed and power is obvious and noticable.

I like this thread. Like to read about the guys who can bang it out there. To me it adds a lot of credibility when other players are vouching for someone. Anyone can come on here and claim anything, I like to hear it from someone else.

And the reason for the thread, remember baseball's "chicks dig the longball"?, same thing here, the big drive is exciting. You notice there is no Remax straigt drive competition.

As to the basketball analgy, I've knocked down 100+ free throws consectutively on two occasions (much easier with a rebounder and not in a game), I would trade that any day for the ability to dunk.

Out of curiosity, which shaft did you end up going with? The angle of attack with the S300 looks best to me. -2.2 is so low for the other shafts.
