No argument with his record on the course - That's undeniable - And with 5 more major wins, it will be the best anyone has ever seen - but his win total and taking some liberty with the rules of golf are not mutually exclusive - He can do and has done both - And if we are to celebrate his achievements, we should also criticize his foibles - keeps balance in the universe, right?

I don't know enough about TW to form an opinion one way or the other. The only thing I DO know is he cheated on his wife. Plenty of guys have done that. Everything else is speculation.

However, when push comes to shove it really doesn't matter what a person has achieved in their life that matters. What really matters is a person's character, his "soul" if you will. If you can "do" both all the better, but to "worship" someone (anyone really), because of their wealth, achievement, etc., is rather superficial.

Admire what's inside the person, not what's on the outside. If the two coincide, terrific.

We will never truly know these athletes and have nothing to really base it on other than what we are privy to witness which is what they want doled out in public (hence Mickelson flying to his daughters 8th grade graduation) or their achievements in the sport. The very essence of their livelihoods is to provide us with that entertainment. Unless we are close to them you can't say you truly know them and almost all of us will never really know these athletes.

I like both Chamblee and Johnny Miller. They seem to be the only TV guys with the balls to call them like they see 'em where Eldrick (501) is concerned.

Eldrick once ruled the golf world and now is losing that dominance.

He had a good year in the winning column and seems continue to be "rule book challenged", going 0-4 in his episodes in the eyes of many. Well in the eyes of those non fan boys. And as golfhave69 states above it would not be a surprise to see these "incidents" continue in 2014.

You think he would know that he has tons of cameras on him all the time on the course, thank goodness for pancake houses without cameras but I digress, and would not risk getting close to a rules dust up but........??????? Almost seems like the gears are turning out............... "Don't they know I'm suppose to win?"
