You don't necessarily have to be with Ashworth/Adidas for shoes to be a TMAG staff player lots of the TM guys don't wear Adidas like Johnson Wagner and Bo Van Pelt and also Ryan Moore

It may just be a clubs deal or a clubs and Ashworth for clothing only deal

Won't know till TMAG spills the beans on the new staff members :)

This just in... Keegan to Dunkin Donuts.

"Keegan agreed to compete after having no less than 4 cups of our joe pre-round and showcase the DD logo on his pants, One D for each cheek. We're delighted to have him as an ambassador. Caffiene and Keegan go hand in hand, both being from New England with Massachusetts being the home of Dunkin Brands and Keegans unmistakable pre-shot routene.

DD Brands attempted to lure Jason Duffner, but he turned down the offer to consume our coffee pre-round, citing, 'I already show too much emotion as it is.'"

Exactly, I'm not saying he isn't going with tmag but it seems unlikely about him being with ashworth

I would tend to agree although if he leaves Callaway he will have no clothing sponsor as he currently wears Callway clothes so could happen.

I'm just glad that it seems Justin Rose is staying with TM after seeing him put the new TP irons in the bag :)

They look awesome!

Ernie signs with Ecco. That's what he's worn for at least the past few seasons anyway, right?

What you're probably thinking of are the Callaway DelMar shoes. Their version of street style.

I like others find it surprising he would not simply move to the Adidas or Ashworth equivalents. Maybe he's going TMAG/Adams clubs only and elsewhere on the clothing and shoes.

Ernie Els ain't the same as Johnson Wagner, BVP, or Ryan Moore. If you land Ernie Els, you go full-bore. TMaG isn't hodge-podging this kind of deal.

Good point, does this mean they aren't getting him? It would be interesting if he's moving away from Callaway to see who he ends up with.

Ernie going to Adams makes sense. He's made alot of changes to get his game back and has just been up and down. Maybe this is what he needs to get that jumpstart. Furyk's Callaway deal is really only the driver and golf ball per Callaway.

Just saw today Lexi re-upped with Cobra Puma in a multi year deal, not a new deal nor a suprise....but none the less. Yesterday she posted a pic of her testing the new Cobra wedges. She has been playing Cally wedges.

I'd have to disagree with you on that one.

During a tournament last fall (2012) I got to chat a bit with his caddie and have a look at his bag. He had a Razr Fit and the X protos which were current at the time, but his FWs were old 2006 vintage X's and X forged wedges with CC grooves, another older design.

To me that sounds like a lot of tour pros -- play the latest and greatest driver and irons, but the old shoe FWs and wedges are sometimes tougher.

For sure he's gone through a number of different putters, but that's not unusual and with that being an area he's struggled, not really a surprise.

There have been reports that Ernie Els would make the move to a company that had 4 brands...Apart from TMAG I can think of Cleveland: Never Compromise, Srixon, XXIO (premium clubs from Dunlop) and Cleveland. No clothing companies there so he can sign other contracts for apparel and shoes.

Just a guess!!!

I'm just saying because the reports made you think he would sign with TMAG and use all their equipment and apparel and then he signs with ECCO, so there won't be any adidas or ashworth shoes. That's why I said that apart from TMAG the only other company that I know with 4 companies and no apparel is Cleveland. But then again not every report is correct or 100% certain. Maybe he just signs with TM or Adams and no adidas or ashworth.

While my info is that his deal is with Adams, that doesn't preclude him from playing some TM.
As for your assertion that one can't have an Ecco contract and an Ashworth contract, that is not correct factually. Ask Fred Couples, he represents both. Ecco shoes and Ashworth clothing (thru 2013 at least).

Reports made it sound like he was going to use all 4 TMAG brands, that's why I said no Ashworth or Adidas shoes. I guess the original report was incorrect!!!! I still think he is a big presence at any tournament and will get covered a lot and that's good for any company that signs him.

Great point regarding Couples contract!!!
