I haven't bought it yet so I'm not down for the count... But it will be HARD not to if this is a DVS/NVS shaft...

Will be great if shares the DVS profile, if similar to NVS, then I am out, never got along with that shaft- too high in trajectory and way too loose feeling under handle, has always amazed me that many players like both as feel is not very similar IMO.

Interesting... I found the shafts so similar in performance I didn't care which one I ended up with..

They are putting a hybrid version of the Red in the Adams Pro as the main stock shaft:

I had the chance to talk to the Aldila guys at the PGA show. They said, that - as already stated - the ATX Red will be close to DVS profile wise. They weren't 100% happy with the characteristics after initial testing, since they want it to be a truely high launching shaft working well in combination with modern low launching and relatively heavy heads like the SLDR. But they sounded quite confident, that they will meet their targets in the next weeks. So release will be later this year.

Pompjr, how did you come across that shaft? Looks really nice.

The tour versions of the hybrid did have a speed coating type paint finish that feels a bit fuzzy/silky/rubbery. Hard to explain. I have two directly from the tour van they feel that way. It is an earlier tour version, real deal tour issue. The new retail stuff is smooth finish regular paint. Also those older ones were laser etched graphics. The new ones are painted graphics.

The DVS is arguably better feeling too. The tour ad di doesn't blow my skirt up. I don't fit it, too high with the driver. I think it's a decent fw shaft though as will the tour red when it's available.

According to Aldila - yes but we don't have an exact time frame. They only said "later this spring".
