Could be NVS/DVS or......could be a super tip stiff version like the RIP Phenom NL. No doubt someone will confirm soon.

Those are the coolest looking shafts out there. If the Red is a version of the NL it would have to be an amazing shaft to knock spin off, because so far I haven't found anything that kills spin like the NL.

NVS I'd expect orange. Red I'd expect DVS or Phenom NL ish. Or RIP Alpha red eyes? Have to wait and see, I don't know, so hopefully someone gets us the scoop.

This got me curious so I figured why not send an e-mail directly to Aldila to see if they were willing to share any info on it. Not holding my breath but figured the worst they could say was no.

Worth looking into. I'm curious to see the numbers as well. Was looking at the Green to put in my Bombtech Grenade possibly. The stock Matrix shaft is not something I can live with in that driver. LOVE the head, but not the shaft.

I'd love to see an updated NVS. I had the NVS 105X in my fairway woods for a while and loved them.

I have the Voodoo-ized version in my 3 wood, and it's pretty ridiculous. I need to bring it in order to hit it right.

I also preferred the VooDoo version of the DVS. The XDV8 in a FWY or XDV7 in a driver was great. The Stuart Appleby "Apple's Fairway" was a slightly more tip stiff version of an XDV7 and I loved those too. I hit them a little high and moved to the XPP8's to bring it lower. But looking back, higher was probably better for the FWY.

I hope so. The DVS is a great shaft and to add the next gen laminates with a higher balance point like the blue and green would be awesome.

Big fan of the DVS. Have a DVS 80x in an 8.5* HiBore XL. Nasty. New 70x just waiting for an MP 650 8.5* if I can find one. 60x as an extra shaft for my L5V. Each weight is a different animal from the others.

I always go light.. The NVS in my 4 is a 70... But I would go with a 60 if I had found one when I was buying.... The launch is a touch low... Nothing that isn't workable but would prefer lighter and higher...

Someone PLEASE tell us about that dang Red ATX!!!!!!!!!

I've been on the hunt for a MP 650 8.5* too, the DVS 80X I have sitting in the corner would go great with a MP 13* fw. The DVS 80 is the most stable high launch shaft I've hit yet.

I'd agree for the 60g. The 70g is a mid/mid (same as a blue board 83 I hit in the same head) while the 80g is a little lower mid/mid (in the HiBore driver I have). At least, that's how this high ball hitter finds them.

I've never tried the 80x in a fairway, but think it would be sweet. I've only hit it in a driver. I tried the 70x in a strong fairway (CB2) and it was crazy good. More of a driver.

I had a 13* MP 650 with a 7a3 in it and it was almost as long as a driver. Great head.

Finally got the answer from Aldila (I'm guessing they were a bit busy with the PGA merchandising show when I sent the question).

When I followed up and asked specifically which of the current shafts it would best match, I was told DVS or NVS.

DVS is the original AD-DI IMO.
