    Ping LST G400 8.5 ordered to 9.2*

Next up working on a new 3w - would like to test a 80g shaft

Either a another 16’ M2 deep face or been researching the tour edge cbx T3 15* , logic is that head shape is close to the M2

I do not want to touch my current 3w

Haven’t Posted in a bit, traveling for work & not that much golf

Irons - 716 MB x100 HS , why I ever cheat on Titleist irons with Mizunio, i need a 12 step program. Love that mizuno feel but the huge size of the PW and larger top lines, should make me NEVER buy their irons again. RIP my 712’s i sold mistakenly , I am sorry guys

Putter, real wild card here, firted with a spider for while (Fantastic putter ) LOVE my betti BB8 tri sole, but what’s in the bag is a Toulon San Diego , with a super stroke GTR 1.0 counter (25g) the wide boxy set up just appeals to my eye. Much to my sugrin, feels softer than my Bettinardi

    3w -2016 DF M2 with 90 TX - nuff said

    driver

M4 - Great driver , hot melted enough for it to feel like a baseball bat , was very long , but looking for a hair less spin

Enter Ping G400 LST - M4 forgiveness with Less Spin , bought a measured head @ 9.2 * , interesting after testing the head, the +.06 setting has been the best

    Testing Shafts

Pro Orange 80TX - love the feel of this shaft , stable and spin is slightly lower & launch than the Pro White

Pro White 70TX - probably the longest out of the the two shafts , but the handle at time feels a little loose for my liking

    ——-

That said, shot a 74 on my home track @ 7039 yard (50 degree weather and 15-20 wind ) pretty pleased

Just got a M3 440 head and a D+ 70TX to test ; ping is going to be hard to beat

Same, it's the real deal. I almost never spend money on new releases but I've already had 3 shafts in this and they all work regardless of the fact my swing is crap from taking 6 months injury break.

Still using the D+ LTD? Retail head, whats the loft at?

Yeah retail head TI are still like 800 or something crazy. Honest , I like to go look at a bunch of heads and pick the way a head sits. I went with a 10.5 to Try I destroy my 3w, and at times I launch the driver a touch low and spin isn’t a huge issue , sometimes too low.

    10.5 2 clicks open. What do u have ?

Still using the D+ LTD? Retail head, whats the loft at?

Yeah retail head TI are still like 800 or something crazy. Honest , I like to go look at a bunch of heads and pick the way a head sits. I went with a 10.5 to Try I destroy my 3w, and at times I launch the driver a touch low and spin isn’t a huge issue , sometimes too low.

    10.5 2 clicks open. What do u have ?

I have the 9.0 at std setting. Finding it to be lower spin and apex than expected compared to previous TM heads based on course and range. No numbers yet. Shafts have been stock Hzrdus smoke 6.5 ( nice but a little loose), Speeder 7.3 X, and now Pro Orange 70 TX I'm building tonight. I skipped M3/M4 and I feel like toe and heel hits are curving less than I'm used to, maybe it's placebo effect.

Do you have much time with it, how are you finding the overall height in that loft/setting?

Played with it for the first time yesterday

    1. You are right , something about it , it’s good to great
    2. I would loft up, it does launch lower
    3. 15-20 Texas wind yesterday, stinger / low bullets very easy to hit
    4. Keeps it on line , even better than the m3

Shot an 80 on 6800 track with wind first time out , 2 doubles and a triple (mental midget) , def not the drivers fault , only hit a few times on +400 and par 5’s

The d+ LTD 70tx was a great combo with the m5 prob will be the gamer set up , for the sh*ts and giggles I’m going to test the Ad Tp 80tx , prob my second go to shaft ,

    Any updates?

Played mine with a Tensei orange 70 TX, 7000 yards 74 rating. Hit the fairway every hole I used it on. Consistent low/mid cut shot between 270-300 off the tee with fairways on the firm side, pretty solid for me. Was a couple under through 15 before fatigue set in and hit a couple sloppy iron shots that cost me 3 shots. Ended up getting the orange 60 TX tipped 1" for a little more launch/carry. Not sure it's worth the control trade off yet, but it's long. Maybe I should just swing harder with the 70 gram.

So I switched to a 9* Still searching for the right settings , right now I am weights back, with one on the draw side . Shaft setting on one past lowest. have a PRO-W set up right now, and a D+LTD as a back up

Toying with a new 3W , still love my M2 DF

Testing an 80 gram shaft , that m5 head is so heavy, put the PRO-O 80TX in the head, went from D4 to D1, which will allow me to hot melt the shaft. Played with it yesterday with an AD DI 90x in it, not sure if its the Titanium face or what, but that 15* moves the ball.

    Update quick -

Tvd wedges w/ s400 could ask for anything better

Mb 716 irons x1 HS , play off 48* wedge , -1 flat , shot makers dream , even though this shot maker fouls it up ; Indian not the arrow

Putter - surprise here , Bettinardi bb8, Toulon San Diego battle royale , winner Toulon . IMOP slight feel and sound advantage to the BB8, and it has no slight line , but comfort level is higher with the Toulon and the boxier shape slightly wider footprint is more applealing to my eye, thus it’s in the bag

    New woods m5 D/3 (M2 2016 DF is still alive )

Graphite designs are great but I don’t think I’m going to bag them

Fuji - diamond speeder 6x , testing lighter and longer , impressed with the low spin on this shaft and the low torque with the feel

    Speeder 8.1 x blue coupled in the m5 15* is a monster

    Vs

    Mrc
D+limited 70tx and pro orange 80tx driver and 3w combo are legit contenders

Scores and time will dictate winner

Diamond speeder? Which model is this? Speeder 8.1 is a great FW shaft, had one in a cally X hot and VR Pro LTD years ago.

Still have my M5 9 setup with PO 60 TX. Really impressed with this driver.

The diamond is a weird shaft, my first attempt at longer and lighter , extremely low torque . Outside is that I don’t know too much about it .

Thought it was midspin but hit some boring shots into west Texas wind that sure didn’t look medium spin

Probably my favorite 5 wood shaft I've used so far, along with the Speeder 8.2. I've always played a low/low stout shaft in a 5 wood to keep the flight under control. It' actual loft 18.5 so any shaft is going to get up in the air with this head. When I want to put one out there off the tee it can't spin up or float, so the PO 80 keeps the flight flat for me while retaining some feel. I think they have a 90g PO available too.

BUT, I have to say half the reason is for the counterbalance, it's working for me. There are other shafts I can get the same performance with normal balance point.
