Interesting. The Stretch 3-wood is sort of a mini driver.

She grips down 3" on a 48" driver. Grips down 2" on everything else.

Why does she do that? It seems that even a 45" driver would be long for someone her height. And why not just play clubs that she does not have to grip down on?

I've been wanting to ask for weeks but was afraid of getting the typical wrx "your so dumb" hate messages.

My guess would be that, being rather short in stature, she learned the game while having to grip down on clubs that were a bit too long for her and has just grown very comfortable with the feel that provides.

Perhaps to a lesser extent, but I think Anthony Kim also did this with his driver IIRC.

It`s a feel thing. I played with a guy for 26 years who choked down 2-3 inches on every club. He was never going to cut them down.
It would have totally messed him up.

It's a different feel entirely. I grip way down on my driver and when I try a standard grip it screws with my swing.

She used to grip down on a standard driver. One day her coach suggested going to a long driver, and gripping down on that. Brooke tried it, and liked the extra distance that she was generating, so she has stuck to the 48" driver.

Nike did cut down a driver for Anthony Kim a long time ago. The only problem was that Anthony started gripping down on the shortened driver anyway, out of habit I guess. They scrapped the whole idea because of the if it's not broke why try to fix it theory.

Ko also grips down on pretty much every club. Likely for the same reasons and Henderson.

Is it just me or does her i200s look a little more glossy than normal? Most have a matte feel to them and hers don't really to me. Could be mind tricks.
