Tensei CK Pro Blue Hybrid Shafts

Recommended Posts

MC has the CK Pro Red/White/Blue hybrid shafts listed on their website, but I have seen very few if any in the wild. None on ebay, and none on BST. Are they even out yet? Tons of the regular CK hybrid shafts, but no Pro. Would love to try one out since I love their driver and FW shafts.

Anyone?

Yes we carry the new pro blue hybrid. We do not carry the non pro which was discontinued.

Man, I wanted to order through you guys but didn't get a reply so I ordered elsewhere.

No worries. We were gone all last week with the PGA Show so we fell a little behind. I know there is a 70 R and S as well as 80 S and X on the website. There is also a 90 TX which is Tour only, and yes we have it.

I figured. I have the 90 TX coming. I'll reach out if I need to order another shaft. Should be all set if the ck pro works out. All new shafts in the woods since october and this one was the last one to change.

Good choice! I hope it's a winner for you and just let me know if there's anything you ever need.

Thanks toll. If the pro blue tx plays like a tighter s+ then I'm going to be very happy.

Launch monitor feedback on the ck pro blue.

I have the tx flex hybrid. Put it in a jpx900 3hybrid.

Was trying to get the shaft as close to 7.0 as possible. Had to tip it 2 inches and it came out to 6.7 at 40 1/4" playing length.

Shaft feels amazing. Almost can't explain the feel. It's super responsive but doesn't kick. It's just super smooth. I was dead set on a s+ hybrid but ended up with the ck pro blue at the same price. Dispersion was terrific.

My only problem waa that the shaft is mid/high spin. I really hoped it was be low/mid. If I keep the shaft then I'll have to play my jpx at either 18 or 17 degrees to get the carry number out of it.

But this shaft is incredibly smooth.

If you want low/mid spin and launch, maybe look for a diamana thump?

Range and course feedback.

Something is a bit off. Not sure what just yet. Range and course were a bit inconsistent. Shaft seemed to lag a bit and I either hit it high right or hit a tugged pull. Swing was pretty good today and no other club had issues. Dropped balls on several holes to hit the hybrid so I got about 8 shots into greens. Just a bit of inconsistency. Enough that my first thought is to just throw the ust v2 back in it or put a ust v2 x flex in it. Hit about 45 balls on the range after the round with the hybrid and had the same inconsistent flight. Pulls, high rights...can't quite put my finger on what it is but the feel of the shaft, while really smooth, is just off. This is really weird for me. The shaft feels so good all through the swing but contact and ball flight are inconsistent.

Sw came out to d1. I usually like my woods between d3 and d5 so I'm going to add some lead tape to the head to get the club to d3 to see if it helps. If not...ust time

On another note, I was getting a solid 225-230 on-course carry so, as I've seen with other clubs in launch monitors, the launch monitor numbers are just a bit off.

Was finally able to get out and test the ck pro blue more after adding lead tape to the head. Swingweight is up around d3 or d4 now and I think I have chicken dinner. Flight consistency is awesome now. And the best thing, this combination does not go left unless I shut the face. Beautiful baby fades or, when I play the ball back a bit and hit a trapper...it just goes, tight tailing draw.

Will get a few rounds in over the next couple weeks to get on course play, but me.likey this shaft/head combo a lot.

How do the Mitsubishi Tensei CK Pro Hybrid shafts compare to the Graphite Design Tour AD DI Hybrid shaft?

I have it coming in to put in my Ping G410 22*. I've hit it at a few stores, and it feels like the modern version of my Matrix Altus, which I think is the best of the classic Mid/Mid hybrid shaft designs because of its mix of feel and stability.

The Tensei Pro Blue feels like it has the same qualities but in a different formulation. In the Tensei, you really feel the stability of the weave in the butt section if you have a steep angle of attack. I tend to get quick and steep, so that has been helpful for me while still retaining great feel from the mid section down.

I thought the Tensei White 90S would be too much shaft for me after trying the driver, but it's a great iron-like shaft. I want to try it in a hybrid, as well.

Driver: nope

You spoke directly to me without knowing it. I think I’ve been convinced to order my G410 hybrid with the Tensei Blue instead of the stock Alta. My tendency is also quick and steep if I don’t keep focus. Please keep us updated!

Slightly off topic - I also compared the Tensei Orange in the fairway woods yesterday against the Alta CB. I’m not 100% positive this is true, but it seemed that with both the Tensei shafts it was easier for me to consistently find the middle of the face. I might have just discovered being a Tensei guy.

Does anyone know that when the Pro Blue was first released, was the x flex labled as such? When did MCA change it to tx flex? Some x flex ones I've seen have the carbon weave all the way up to (and looks like goes under) the grip so I'm sure they're the real thing, but want to be sure before I place a bid......
