Single strap Stand bag

I’m looking for a single strap back. I’ve twice ordered one on Amazon which “offered” it in single or double straps. When it came it was a double strap. When I inquired they said it only came in a double strap. Why offer the Single on your website? I’m leery now to buy online and I find nothing at the stores.

what is a good single strap stand bag?

Only one that comes to mind off the top of my head is the reissued Ping L8. Saw one in person this weekend, very solidly built but lacks some of the features of more current bags (namely good spots to put a water bottle and a range finder).

Otherwise I'm sure you could just use one strap on bags that have two separate straps (ala Jones Utility Trouper). Utility Trouper™ - Stone

I'm using a Vessel Player 2.0 with the single strap accessory. I would highly recommend it.

The Burton CSX stand bag comes with an optional single caddy strap. I just ordered one for mine.

Several bags have the option of single straps. I think most Titleist and Ping bags can be made into a single strap. I personally ordered a Titlesit Linksmaster for this exact reason.... I hate the dual/backpack style straps and the Linksmaster comes with both dual and single straps.

PING used to offer the Hoofer with a single strap. I bought one a few years ago from Budgetgolf.com -- I think they called it the Caddy model or something. I also bought one at a top 100 course when Delta broke my stand. Same thing - Hoofer with a single strap. You might be able to find one out there - I do not know if they still make a single strap model for custom order.

Also depends on what type of bag you are looking for -- The OGIO and Sun Mountain posted above probably aren't light enough if you are walking and are designed more for cart and push cart use. If you are looking for a bag to walk with you could go Jones Utility Trouper and only hook one strap on or go Vessel and get the single strap separately as noted above.

I have been carrying the Stitch SL1 for about a year. So far it has been a great bag.

Sun Mountain makes the 2.5 and 3.5 with a single strap. You can also order a single strap for their bags. I’m ordering one tomorrow for a 4.5. You just have to call them to place the order.

Jones bags come with a nice padded single strap. But 14 clubs can get crowded in a small bag like a jones, but i only ever play with 7 thru 10 anyway.

I started with the SL1 then the SL2 when it came out with the 4 way top. I really wanted to like the SL2 but the one thing that I felt it was missing was rear storage. So I went on the hunt for the perfect bag. Landed on the G Fore Daytona it has solved all the issues I had with the SL’s

haha it’s only since I sell my clubs so often and they keep them in like new condition. Already sold that set haha

Has anyone had issues with the SL1 stand/legs? I have had two of them and neither has lasted a full season.

No issues with the stand or legs. 1 season. Both the pockets blew on the interior. SL1 model 1.

Stitch replaced the entire bag brand new. Just needed to send photos.

Can't speak to updated model of SL1 but the customer service is great.

Mine are fine but I truthfully haven’t carried it much (7-10 rounds) due to having a push cart.

How did you modify it from the EZ fit straps to a single?

They sell a single strap for $20 shipped. The EZ Fit just comes right off the clips. Then I just put the single strap on the old strap system. Super easy and I don’t understand how those clips ever work. ?

You do have adjust for the double strap being different lengths but that is easy enough. I then just cut the straps so they looked even and burned the end of it to seal up the threads.

The Jones Classic Stand Bag. Single strap step-up, same as the Classic Jones Carry Bags. Nicely padded, very comfortable. Solid bag too.

I have had mine for just over a year. I carry 13 clubs (with midsize grips). Occasionally, I will have an issue with some club tangle, but the positives of the bag, outweigh that small negative. And, if the grips were all standard size, I doubt there would be any club tangle. Enough storage for all your gear, but small enough that you can't overload the bag with clutter.

I love the smaller footprint of the bag. I live on the 3rd floor of a walk-up, with a narrow staircase. Getting my old Sun Mountain 4.5 up and down that staircase was a pain. No issues with the Jones. Same goes with loading it in and out of the car and it sits great on my ClicGear. Carries well and have had no issues with the stand mechanism.
