How is pace of play at TPC Stadium with it being CPO?

Barring some sort of miracle I'm unaware I'd guess it to be exactly what you'd expect, i.e., 4:30-5:00

Basically what I expected. I think I am going to try to walk if that is permitted.

Walking with a pushcart is not allowed; only carrying...and that may no longer be allowed either.

You previously could book a caddie as well. Not sure if that is still possible.

If anyone can provide course updates on the Trilogy at Power Ranch and Mountain Brook Golf Club I'll be playing them in about two weeks. Thanks.

Power ranch is a mess...tee to green.

At least I got that going for me, ROFL.

Very easy. It is very flat.

Just realized that Aguila is about 10 minutes from where my office is, going to play this for the 1st time tomorrow afternoon after the great reviews here and its $39.

One question here, is this course walkable? I'm going to take a cart tomorrow since I don't know the layout, but if it is walkable I will bring the push cart with me to work and play it for the $29 rate after the initial visit.

Skip the cart. You can walk it the first time. All the city courses are walkable and lots of people walk/push.

Yep. I walk Aguila every time I play it and often get paired with other walkers. They have a lot of push carts available for rent ($5 maybe?) but you can bring your own for free, as I and many people do. Walk it the first time, it's fairly obvious where the shortcuts to the next tees are from the greens, and they have decent signage.

Western skies is the only place I’ve ever left mid round because I was bored as hell lol. I remember hole #1, and nothing else. Prob 10 min away from my house and haven’t played it in 8 years, though they do have new irrigation and owners, so maybe conditions have improved enough to make a boring layout enjoyable

Any recommendations on golfing retirement communities would be greatly appreciated.

Without knowing which area of town youre talking about it is hard to be helpful. You could literally be talking about places that are an hour+ apart and hundreds of thousands of dollars in cost difference.

My apologies for being vague. I’m coming from Florida and am open to anything in the Scottsdale/Phoenix area. I’ve looked at Anthem CC which seemed within my geographical and financial range.

Anthem is a nice upper middle club. Certainly a good spot if you find a house you like there. Ironwood > Persimmon but both courses are fun.

Coming in March - Playing Papago, Southern Dunes, We Ko Pa, and Troon North looking for a day that is a little less expensive....looking at McCormick Ranch. Anyone have any info? Play it or stay away?

Stay away

Any $100 or less courses you would recommend?
