Changing out the stock grip to a 65g grip gave me a hair more feel for the putter head. More importantly, my hands felt more comfortable which meant I was holding the putter more softly. For some reason SS grips feel slimy in my hands and I death grip them.

With the lighter iomic grip 65 g vs even the lightest SS pistol GTR grip at like 69 g, you should feel the putter head a little more. I used to be a faithful SS Pistol GTR tour grip user, but switched to Iomics for more feel and less grip weight.

Are there any rumors about TM releasing the navy in a single bend? The Golfalot review showed a picture of one but haven’t seen one anywhere else.

I'm about 5 rounds in with this guy and the feel is great. What I don't like is the line (inside the big white line). It's not needed, IMO. The white one does such a good job of showing a line. And, if you use a line on your ball like I do, that line and the black line better be dead flush or it'll drive you nuts. It's weird but it's driven me nuts if they aren't perfectly aligned. And, I'm not about to be that guy who remarks the ball and re-lines up a putt. If it comes out with just the bar, no line, I'd be hard pressed not to but that one.

Since I painted it black and put on an old TM grip on it, the performance has been unbelievably awesome. Yes it still sits open, but I simply use my hands to square it. The distance control and direction are just perfect. Will definitely keep it in the bag longer.

I'm really hoping they come out with a set of headcovers in black for the Spider X or navy in the same materials made with the stock Spider X cover.

You could fill it in I suppose. I was listening to Bill Price from TM talk about their TP Lineup and he stated that their research shows that a sightline on the top line (not the flange like a typical blade, but like the Juno style) leads to a significantly higher percentage of putts holed from 14' and in. This isn't exactly relevant here but that where that sightline goes all the way to the face, same principle I suppose. But I get your point - the white paint job does a pretty good job of it anyway.

Funny thing happened today. I'm driving down the road and in oncoming traffic comes a navy blue camaro with two white stripes. Looks like an inverse of my X, LOL!

Depends on the length of putter. The shorter the putter the heavier the weights. Mine is 35” and comes with 2x2g weights

Last I remembered seeing 34 was 2g and 33 was 6g but I could be wrong

Was rolling a few putters yesterday, had every intention of ordering a SC, but this thing just works for me?! I like the look of the navy, but couldn't make anything like I was with the copper with single site line?!

Didn't think MySpider X would be available until at least late summer or fall. Purchased a Copper one this spring but I love the look of the plain top. Between the MySpider X and MyHiToe TaylorMade is really bringing out some awesome product right now.

I got a chance to roll the Little Mallet last night, I'm not sure of the name but it falls in this same look.

 

I gotta say, not a fan of inserts or mallets... but that thing rolled and felt great.

Just ordered an all black plain top MySpider X. Debated between copper and black all day but settled on black. Really like my copper Spider X with white sightline now but also like the look of the plain top. Easy process on the website and will ship in 3-4 weeks. Will share some pictures when I receive it.

Would be intrigued to hear reviews on the flow neck Spider if anyone orders that hosel option.

Very sweet all black. mySpiderX is a hoot to play with.... I like what TM is doing here allowing for full customization for about another $50. Let’s face it, if your sold on the spider series, and you can afford it, why not go full custom and design it exactly the way you want it! ALSO... I was in a GolfGalaxy today and tried the miniSpider. That little putter was spot dead on. Check it out with the X pretty sweet package. Small and precise.

Put a Traxion Flatso 1.0 on my Spider X. Going to try left hand low with this guy and see how it goes....

I’ve found this to be true. I’ve never putt better than I have with the Spider X and left hand low.
