New Blades and CBs for Callaway in 2020...?

With the trend towards a 24 month cycle for Callaway, there has to be a strong chance that we will see an update to the Apex MB and the X Forged. Anyone have any more info or thoughts?

The apex MB is still a great club but that being said, they are about due.

I’d like to see the MBs officially offered in raw and the wedge black, along with the standard chrome which works well too. Maybe that’ll be the update for ‘20.

 

The Apex Pro Dots went under the radar, really another players CB few talked about.

Zero chance they release MB's with 3 finish options. Talk about a money loser for an already small market.

I was searching callaway mb's a few weeks back and it led me to callaways website and forum where representatives post, in the post the rep mentioned they were testing a new MB on tour and would release soon

Callaway has their Customs program, we could see them in there. I have two Hi-Toe wedges in black that, although for a different company, illustrate that the one-off model can work.

All you have to do is make them limited, sell them direct to consumer from your website, and increase the price and lead times.

Those are already released in the JDM market, they’re not coming to US retail.

 

X Forged and Apex MB will be updated for the US market.

I still don’t understand the multi market business model.

Why only make something avail to Asia, Europe or North America? People are not playing different golf or wanting different products based on geography. For example Stensons irons are still today a awesome set of irons and would have sold here very well. Why leave $$ on the table. They do this with JDM fishing equipment also. If I was selling a product I would damn sure make it avail worldwide.

My guy said something different, he said X Forged will be updated, there will be 2 versions of it as well as a brand new line of Toulon putters, both are due for embargo in Sep 2020

I mean, sept 2020 is next next season, not 2020 season golf. If the rep aint selling me it, it doesnt exist in my books. Their lifespan will be dead by fall 2020 so yes i would expect replacements that fall/winter

Asian releases are usually flashier than US market, lighter in weight. I agree there are some options hat would be nice to have here

The Xforged took 5 years to update. 2013 then 2018. Apex MB took 4 years. I’m probably the only one that hopes Callaway doesn’t do anything to the MB and Xforged. The players forged cavity and blade markets are flooded right now. Lots of recent releases for MBs out there: PXG 0311ST, MP 20, Titleist 620 MB with many more recent releases. CB forged is also plentiful. Srixon, Mizuno, titleist, taylormade, honma.

I doubt we’ll see a new release on these in 2020 for Callaway. It’s a small market of players who hit those things anyways.

Funny, I was told the complete opposite. We will have to see. Considering it is the year of the mavrik and game improvement type stuff I do not think it is the year for a new blade. Apex will release in 2021.
